The entire concept of this show is wrong, and I say this having watched a few seasons. Let me explain:

It's about the fuck-ups in Slough House. This is what differentiates it from a James Bond or Jason Bourne kind of super spy: these guys suck. List differentiation is quickly disregarded as the team end up getting an all sorts of high stakes gun fights and top level matters anyway. It's just another spy show.

They had an opportunity to make a show about actual fuck ups and they, ironically, threw it away.

This seemed to be the filler season, I mean I felt all seasons were like fillers since the arcs were unsatisfying for me but this season especially.
