A lot of that had to do with the Russians. Hitler's mistake was not understanding that Stalin didn't give a fuck about the lives of his own people. He and his buddy Lenin had already killed tens of millions of them with no fucks given. If a given Nazi platoon had enough ammo to kill 1,000 soldiers, then Stalin would send 1,050 soldiers and give medals to the survivors. And it was Stalin using that tactic that ultimately caused Berlin to fall to the Russians.

Leader of the SS Himmler, known as "loyal Heinrich" by Hitler, betrayed Hitler and tried to negotiate peace with the western allies. The Germans were all cowards and backstabbers, the only reason the war continued until Berlin fell was because Hitler still thought the war could be won

You were never taught about the German Revolution that occurred in between WW1 and WW2 where Jew-back commies tried their own "Bolshevik revolution" in Germany. They took advantage of the hardships in the aftermath of WW1, and made already-hard life in Germany even harder as they kicked a dog that was already down. Living through that is what radicalized Hitler into hating Jews and commies, and contrary to MYTH the death camps weren't just about the Jews. White German commies were also in them.

Liberal-controlled schoolbooks leave that part out because they don't want you to see WW2 as the "effect" in the "cause and effect" equasion.

Most soldiers are like the Confederate general Robert E Lee. They're not loyal to "the cause," and are only loyal to their home team. They don't give a shit about the politics of it at all. The "Desert Fox" Rommel was notoriously that way with being loyal to Germany but not to Hitler's gang. That's probably why Hitler stationed him so far away from Germany.
