Why are there no movies about the Korea War? Hollywood seems to only care about Vietnam.

It would have been better if North Korea had won.

The Steel Helmet [1951] is a must watch. Low-budget but effective.

>The Steel Helmet confronts American racism when a North Korean Communist prisoner baits a black soldier over the inequalities he suffers both in the service and on the home front. He is rudely rebuffed by the character. The Korean soldier also makes the first-ever mention in a Hollywood film of the internment of Japanese Americans in World War II. The film infuriated the military with one particular scene involving Zack's killing of a prisoner of war.[7] Army personnel summoned Fuller for a conference on the film, Fuller replied that in his World War II service it frequently happened, and had his former commanding officer, Brigadier General George A. Taylor, telephone the Pentagon to confirm it.[8]

BECAUSE THEY FUCKING HATE AMERICA AND DO NOT WANT TO GLORIFY ONE OF OUR GREATEST SUCCESS STORIES.

SOUTH KOREA & TAIWAN BOTH WE RIGHTFULLY SUPPORTED DURING THEIR TRAGIC DICTATORSHIP PHASES BECAUSE IT SAVED MILLIONS FROM COMMUNISM AND THEN IN THE 1980S THEY BOTH TRANSITIONED INTO PROSPEROUS DEMOCRACIES.

SAME WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IN IRAN HAD WE ASSASSINATED KHOMEINI LONG BEFORE THE REVOLUTION.

SAME MIGHT HAVE HAPPENED IN SOUTH VIETNAM IF THOSE COCKSUCKING COMMIE SIMPING FUCKS IN CAMBODIA AND LAOS NOT ALLOWED NV/VC TO USE THEIR NATIONS TO PASS INTO SV WITH ZERO OBSTRUCTION.

Rambo: First Blood is indirectly about the Korean War, since a large part of the sheriff's motivation is anger over how Korean War vets had been forgotten.

Because the US destroyed 90%+ of all standing buildings and killed ~20% of the population. Hard to make Americans look like the “good guys” when they do that

What's that Korean film where it's centered around a hill or bunker complex that keeps getting captured then lost by both sides?

In it they trade booze and cigs in a hidden spot under the bunker floor and give letters to relatives stuck in the north and south to each other with it

Anyone know this? I saw it once and liked it but I've forgotten the name
>>
>>215588795

Storm of Steel, with just the right degree of "war is hell :(" and "war is hell :D" conjoined.

The Hook 1963 is a korean war movie with kirk douglas. Korea did not end with a victory and hollywood could not spin it into pro war propaganda in time for Vietnam. It just wasn't a very useful war for propaganda and was forgotten. Anti chinese propaganda was what came out of the korean war with movies like the Manchurian candidate which is about chinese bad guys interfering in US politics.

Would be a great biopic series. Season 1 is during WW1 and then season 2 is during world war 2.
