It really is the perfect comedy. Enough slapstick/crude humor where I enjoyed it when I was young and also plenty of more subtle smarter humor that holds up 30 years later. The main characters are likable despite being morons. They do some contemptible things, but the movie has the sense to move without dwelling on it. A comedy like this isn't high art, but the modern industry does not know how to make anything like it anymore. There won't be a movie like this ever again even though it would be hit if they pulled it off. Also the soundtrack is a 10/10 representation of the time it was made in.

I've always loved the ending of the film, not only does neither of them get the girl, they blew their chances with the bus too and yet it feels like a happy ending, like all these guys need are each other and it'll be okay.
