Sometimes I wish that the Twin Peaks license was a little more lax than it is, because we're missing out on tons of trashy shit that could've spun out of the show (pic related, buy your Rapist Demon funko pop now). The show is in a weird area where it was a genuine cultural phenomenon when it first aired in the 90s, hemorrhaged so much viewership that it got cancelled preemptively, then the movie was a full blown arthouse Lynch kino that filtered even more of the remaining fandom. And of course season three basically transcends the category of television entirely and is one of the most staggering human achievements of this century.All that being said, sometimes I wish we could play Twin Peaks: The Pinball Machine or play as Agent Dale Cooper in Fortnite. Fuck it, why not? Especially now that Lynch is dead.
