So he was killed at the end right?
>>215623205All the eating and booze did him in
Shrap as a fucking cue ball this one
>>215623205The onion rings were the last straw and his heart gave out
We don't know because some IDIOT turned the camera off
>>215623205It was confirmed in an interview that he was whacked.
>>215623268I prefer the "intern lost the tape" hypothesis, but this is almost as good.
>>215623205hope so
What the Captain's log?https://youtu.be/Mw3SV6U_p0Q?si=hozrF71yV411JJEF
>>215623205foreshadowing scene several episodes earliertony was killed instantlyhe (and you) didn't even hear the shot because the bullet hit him before the sound waves did
>>215623395holy kek
>>215623395a mafia tv show in a star trek setting type thing would be so good xDDD
Vincent Chase originally wanted to end the series with Tony entering a tunnel on his way to a sit down with New York when tensions were high and it cutting to black, implying Tony never came back. I think Chase just became obsessed with this ending but the same implication is there
trick or treat
>>215623205nope. screen turned black cus Jamal Ginsberg finally knocked his lights out.
>>215623395fucking gem dude, thanks I needed this!
>Members Only man jumps out of the toilet and empties a clip into Tone>Tone flails around in slow-motion – pssh, poch, twow – and blood squibs spray out of his shirt> Tone: "Nooooooooooooooo">Camerella: "Toneeeeeee aaaaaaah">Closeup shot of Tone's face hitting the floor>Paramedics arrive and pronounce him dead. They look into the camera and say, "Yep, 100% unambiguously and verified dead."Is this what you wanted?
If you can watch that entire half-season and come away with any other opinion than Tony got whacked then you're really fucking dense.Bobby and Tony have a discussion about how "you probably don't even hear it when it happens, it's like the lights go out" and they show a flashback to that line at the end of the previous episode. The only other times they had flashbacks like that were when Tony gets mad about the Big Mouth Billy Bass and they cut back to his fish dream and another time when Paulie goes out on the boat with Tony thinking about killing him and they cut to a flashback of Pussy dying on the boat. It's not that subtle of a show. They weren't going to put a flashback to that conversation in unless that was what was going to happen to him. There was also Gerry getting shot a few episodes before where the audio cuts out and Silvio has no idea it's happening until he realizes he's covered in blood, which he specifically describes to Tony later on
>>215624996It seemed obvious to me that Tony died at the end, but I was given the final season on a disc and I watched the episodes back-to-back. If you were watching one episode a week, as originally broadcast, I can see how you might forget the clues and pointers toward Tony's death.
It doesn't matterIt literally does not matter, it changes nothing It's to demonstrate it could happen at any timeWHY DOES ANYONE CARE ABOUT THIS?
>>215624996>>215625090On top of everything you mentioned also incredibly obvious that Paulie is selling out Tony in the final episode
>>215623205Didn't the writer confirm he was abducted by aliens just before being murdered?
>>215624978it should've ended like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid with the last frame being Tony hurling the basket of onion rings at the shooter.
>>215623205he sharted himself to death, his last words were "uh oh stinky"
>>215623205It was a joke
>>215623205Ending is overrated. Should have shown him getting his brains blown out.
>>215625710no that's vito
>>215625724classic practical joke
>>215624996Everybody talks about that Bobby fishing scene, but imo there’s another one that’s way more relevant. After Tony awakens from his coma and gets out of the hospital, where he discovered that note saying “I go about in pity for myself, and all the while a great wind carries me across the sky” there’s a scene where he looks up at the trees in his backyard and and they’re all green and vibrant with life, the wind blowing through and rustling all the leaves. Then in late season 6, maybe even the last episode, there’s another shot that mirrors the exact same camera movement, except this time the trees are barren and dead, no wind blowing either. For me that’s the biggest symbol, though there are others
>>215624996>Paulie goes out on the boat with Tony thinking about killing him and they cut to a flashback of Pussy dying on the boat.doesn't this disprove your point? just because they had a flashback to the bobby scene that doesn't mean he will be killed
>>215624996Also every time one of Tony's family members would walk into the restaurant it would cut to Tony's face then his pov watching them walk through the door. When Carmela comes in, cut to Tony's face, then tonys pov of her coming in. Same with Anthony. When meadow comes in it cuts to Tony's face then to black which is his pov cause that's when he gets shot in the head
>>215623657Would've been a better ending imo
>>215624978It wouldn't hurt to know who ordered the hit. Could be revealed in a quick post-credit scene. This conclusion feels extremely rushed and unfinished.
>>21562516220 years in space, he compromised
he sat behind home plate in game three of this year's world series
>>215625724No, it was the other way around.
>>215623205No. Listen to the audiobook. The actors had no clue the show would end on a random scene. The last thing they shot was that scene where Tony is in a desert with his goomar living like a king. The show ends where it does because it begins and ends with Tony starting and ending therapy with Dr. Melfi. His life is now off-limits to civilians.
>>215626090>Could be revealed in a quick post-credit scene. This is your brain on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The ambiguity of the ending is what makes it interesting and keeps discussion going to this day. We don't need a post-credits scene with Paulie and Butchie discussing their plans to seize the next Infinity Stone.
he lives
Season rankings2 > 3 > 4 > 1 > 5 > 6b > 6a
>>215626018ThisScorsese is a fucking moron The trees are meant to symbolize vitality and peace. This is why the show is constantly showing those shots and why his "law" is just a bunch of plants. Tony's "good" side is represented by his love of nature and animals. At the final episode, there is no more good in him, thus, nature is no longer pleasant to him.
>>215623205yes
>>215626599>best seasons are not the ones where meadow is at college and before she gets way too skinny in season 6Fucking finook
