I think the only criticisms you could make is diverging from the source material, however this is largely to the benefit of the plot in the film format, and overreliance on CGI and action setpieces at times, but that doesn't detract from the excellent screenplay and memorable dialogue at all. Directing the trilogy AT ALL was a staggering achievement requiring far more effort, foresight and talent than the majority of films do.
