ITT: movies that made you cry like a little bitch
>>

This shit was boring
>>
such a great first half its a damn shame the scifi element wasn't used as effectively as the prior 2 films in the trilogy. Still the first portion was more emotionally impactful than anything they did before, still can't quite beat Hot Fuzz, and the major contrast with the creature feature parts between this and Shaun of the Dead is that Shaun is actually a great zombie film

tis the season, Planes, Trains, and Automobiles the bus station scene at the end

>>215648611
love this movie but I don't quite remember if it made me cry
>>
>>215648597
I agree that the whole invasion thing is meh. The dialogue with the aliens at the end feels weird and ouf of place. What really brings me to tears is Simon Pegg's character.

Made me cry because it's so shit

>Planes, Trains, and Automobiles the bus station scene at the end
Steve Martin slowly bringing the pieces together and going back to the bus station is devastating.

i don't understand. why would it make you cry?

criticize the aliens all you want but if you can't admire what the early part of the film captures with old friends and sense of dwindling youth and nostalgia for the good ol days then you either didn't live a very fun childhood with your boys or you became the bitter cold adult of the group that has to act like he doesn't care about that past

Hot Fuzz is 7/10 and pretty rewatchable ngl, but everything else they've ever done is mid.

Simon Pegg's character. He refused to become an adult while all of his friends did and started a family. He turned into a depressed, suicidal alcoholic. The moment his childhood friend is realizing this (and how much that night counts for him) is devastating.

All I got was a group of reluictant adults being sabotaged by their pathetic, loser friend from high school
>>
>>215648755
& yet it's ironically precisely this sort of guy who'd even want to watch this movie in the first place

bit weird innit

World end is a great don't listen to the haters. Peggs character trying to recapture his youthful high was kino

Recommending Kid detective

>World end is a great
It's okay as a movie, but it's shit compared to the previous two films
>>
>>215649210
>Kid detective
Expected a funny millennial loser murder mystery, wasn't quite prepared. But in a way, neither was the protagonist.

Plague Dogs, this movie destroyed me and to this day still I can’t listen to that song without bawling my eyes out

It hit hard because I was grew up in a sleepy village with a shitload of pubs at the same time at the same age, but I didn't cry

I love the film though and consider it the best of the trilogy by far
