We didn't really even have much of an anti-German WW2 mythos until American TV started coming in the late 90's. We mostly fought the Japanese with the explicit intention of maintaining the White Australia Policy; our conflict with the NatSocs was very limited in North Africa. Our national story is still very much attached to the idea of the British Empire and White greatness, we didn't have a war of independence like America did.There's other conditions as well, but it's not all that surprising that it happened here.
