>I had a roommate who was a very good friend of Timothy Leary, who was one of the main people with the LSD experiments at Harvard. A man arrived at our house in New York City on Bank Street, and he had a vial of pure lysergic acid. He said, ‘I’m gonna be taking this upstate to Tim, but I don’t want to carry it around New York City. Can I put it in your refrigerator?’ And my friend, Barry, said, ‘Of course.’>So he said, ‘You know, we have this jar of pure lysergic acid in the refrigerator. I’ll get an eyedropper and I’ll give you a drop.’ And I went, ‘Okay,'”.>He takes an eyedropper and he goes to give the drop and he gasps. The whole eyedropper, thousands of micrograms, goes into my throat, and there is nothing you can do. Nothing. So I said, ‘Okay, well, we’ll see where this goes.'”>It lasted somewhere between 3 and 4 billion years. I’m not exactly sure of the time frame. It involved Heaven and Hell and way beyond all of those things.>And then I heard a sound of something go ‘bloop.’ The whole thing came back, and I said, ‘Why am I back?’ And this huge voice came through the atmosphere, and it said, ‘To tell people what you saw.’ And that was the beginning of Jacob’s Ladder.

This was so demented, chaotic, and trashy, pure 90's humor. Being a Troma b-horror film, it had lots of tits, vomit, and gore. It reminded me of the Piranha 3D movies. It was retarded but honestly had a good time watching it. I feel like this production must have been a fucking blast to work on.

Just finished watching Dead Mail, I really enjoyed it though it's less horror and more police (in this case post office) procedural, reminded me of Columbo or Poker Face.It has a great villain and aesthetic but there are flaws too, like there's a big chunk dedicated to an interesting but slow paced backstory and the best character gets killed off unceremoniously fairly early, but it's definitely worth a watch to judge for yourself.

I feel like one day we'll get F13 style legal issues with Scream/Ghost Face>Alterian Ghost Company creates DIY costume making kits in 1991 (left)>Fun World knocks off the designs to make Fearsome/Fantastic Faces mask line in 1992 (right) >Makers of Scream stumble upon the Fun World mask while location scouting and license the mask from Fun World to use in the movie The rights are already tricky because Fun World owns the design and name but Paramount own the concept of Scream meaning the Scream movies need to licence the mask from Fun World every time. In turn Fun World makes different designs for like DBD that are unrelated to the films while ALSO producing the film version masks. It feels like a major legal dispute waiting to happen.

this month I'll be watching one horror documentary a day
>>215675829I like Carroll Baker
>>215676801RE should keep ripping off horror movies for later sequels, it actually makes for kino games.
>opens with a kid sucking on a pacifier while watching the music manyou just know the showrunner is a pedo
>>215676804November is when I stop trying to look cool in front of you guys watching obscure SOV dreck and catch up on normie shit I really should've seen already. Will probably get around to the Halloweentown and Hotel Transylvania movies, lol
>>215676804it takes me a few days to start watching stuff again. I crash pretty hard since i barely sleep in October.
>>215676853look who's talking
>>215676853>see child>think about sex>they're the pedos not me!
>>215676765Yes, not gonna stop until the watchlist is done, no leftovers this year.
>>215676767It's interesting, you see a lot of Ghost Face merch which is exactly that, just Ghost Face merch, for the reasons you mentioned, even though the licensees clearly try to reference Scream (even though they technically can't, legally). Then there's a lot of Scream merch which completely omits Ghost Face, again for the reasons you mentioned.I seem to remember initially Wes Craven told Fun World to fuck off before they eventually decided to go ahead and pay to license the mask.

>>215676836Which movie did they rip off Eveline from?
>>215676833Based. Not /hor/ but her in Baby Doll does things to me.
>>215677113The Ring. They also clearly took influence from TCM and Evil Dead.
Creepozoids. It's got a killer baby and Linnea Quigley naked in the shower. What more could this thread want?
>>215677159When I worked at the video store in the 90s there was a retarded girl who rented Creepozoids once a week and noticing else, ever. She also called it Creepzoids
>>215677188You should've married her, she was the one.
>>215677188imagine how distant she'd be to your children together cause of her disorder, leaving you with most of the parental responsibility while she was hyperfixated on creepzoids

Any precambrian horror?Or just fun horror about unearthing ancient beings of untold evil?

>>215677425Test screenings are ass. They're the reason they removed nudity from Thanksgiving.
>>215677360Horror Express was one of the best watches I had last month, based on the same short story as The Thing
>>215677295Lmao
>>215677425all the comments on other media platforms are talking about brendan mummythe movie was dead before it even had the chance to be announced
>>215677460yeah I mean, what kind of people goes to test screenings anyway? redditors and reviewers from letterboxd?
>>215677425>might be retitled to The ResurrectedThey better fucking not. There is only one 'The Resurrected' and so it shall remain.
>>215677460Lame. i knew that movie was missing something. Roth went soft with that one, found myself disappointed with Green Inferno as well
>>215677731>"It used to be the biggest deal when you went to see a horror film. That was where there was nudity,” Roth said. “But younger audiences just have no frame of reference for that stuff. They want it on their phone. They want it on their laptops and their iPads and on OnlyFans. They don’t really want it in a public spaces around other people.”Zoomers ruined nudity in horror movies>found myself disappointed with Green Inferno as wellThat's my thoughts on it as well. I expected it to be very gory and push the boundaries, but it was very tame. HUGE missed opportunity to get mentioned alongside the cannibal greats.
>>215677683never really liked the resurrectedall it had going for it were the special effects

>>215676767Yeah does seem like a lawsuit waiting to happen. Funworld apparently is also not doing well financially so I wonder if some other company grabbing the Ghostface rights will create problems
>>215676765I'll watch a few horror adjacent films just to clear up my list.
>>215676765Perhaps
>>215678508hmm no

Anyone remember a zombie movie, there was a scene where there running away by climbing a roller coaster track. They escape via helicopter and I think they realize the world was gone. Then it cuts to black and it turns out it was just a dream but then the guy that woke up is attacked by a zombie and the movie ends.
>>215678261>It never propels the story forwardMy hatred for plotfags burns as strong as the sun.
>>215679056>roller coaster>it's all a dream but not really< first thing that came to mind
>>215679293That's the one! I thought it was called nightmare zombie or some shit, turns out it was called Nightmare City in spaghetti speak. Thanks anon, I'll re-watch it later, just saw it's free on YT

>>215680421A certain website already has a fuckton of Resident Evil animated porn.
>>215680459that's the joke
>>215680443Not really, but you never know. If the full film release gets too much attention (read: generates too much money), they can easily sue, get it removed from whatever platform, hit them with a C&D, etc. Sometimes the risk is worth the squeeze.
>>215680386This is the first time somebody make a movie about RE1, the first time!

>>215681534None, this movie is overrated trash
>>215678261Unless she's a 10/10 I agree. Of course I want to see Alison Breas tits but even than I'd rather they just got tweeted with the show.
>>215681380It had been so long since I saw it I thought he did something wrong. But he treated her like a princess and didn't even try to rush into having sex, she did.
This and it's sequel really feels like the proto-terrifier, probably could have had a similar explosion of popularity if it came out just a little later and if the director didn't die.
>>215681534Its a well written drama with a creepy horror twist to wrap things up. I found myself appreciating the little moments like the son bringing a girl home and the father being proud and understanding, or the femcel meekly trying to get attention from him after being pumped and dumped. But you also had the bigger issue of the mysterious girl and the truth behind her identity and intentions, which becomes the primary focus during the second half. And the climax is just horrific and brutal.
>>215681699Also on 2: I've never seen a movie just forget its protagonist exists mid-climax before. He isn't killed, he's just thrown to the ground and is just... gone. I don't think he's even acknowledged afterwards, the movie just moves on and ends without him.
Here's your FRANKENSTEIN bro

how do little kids even end up in horror movies? do they want to be in them or do parents just offer their kids out to be featured in horrori would be worried about inducing trauma on kids
>>215683389Thanks for the list anon, love Holiday horrorCould add a Halloween section too even if there's a lot
>>215684143Have you ever seen the BTS of any horror movie? Everybody is laughing and having a good time. Your question is kind of dumb, they get in horror movies the same way they in any other production, through agents and casting calls.
>>215678261The trend of zoomers against nudity is weird. It was the sex, or related controversy, that sold a lot of movies in the past. Do you think anyone would care about Basic Instinct without the leg crossing scene? Verhoeven is a great director, but without Sharon Stone's vagina what's that movie even about?
>>215682835You know what i mean
>>215684143what this anon said is mostly true >>215684324however, I'm a not fan of Sasha Cohen, but didn't he do a fake casting in one of his movies and parents were willing to let their kids be covered in bees and stuff for a chance to be on the tv
>>215684337when you can pull up the dirtiest porn from your phone in just a couple of clicks, spend hours scrolling through models in skimpy outfits, and avoid most in-person social stuff, nudity kind of loses its appeal
