I guess triceratops shit isn't the worst thing in the world. It's a herbivore, so it's probably like cow manure. Sifting through t-rex poo has gotta be 100x stinkier.

Jurassic Park was a series of fake scenes stitched together>Hammond breaks in and enters their trailer, they agree to go with him>Raptor can push a giant metal crate ajar>kids with no parents>Hammond hates Malcolm and should not be included >They don’t follow the Ford Explorer loop back to the visitor center and leave.>Dennis Nedry’s character doesn’t affect the plot. Did the storm or Dennis Nedry cause everything to go to shit? Or was it Hammond being cheap on everything like outhouse build quality?>T-Rex hungry after eating an entire goat

>>215672731>kids with no parentsI suppose that got lost in the book to film adaptation. The parents are getting a divorce at the moment, and the father is all about sports and seems to fucking hate science and museums.
>>215672804>filteredhammonds ego did the park in pleb, nothing was saving them from that storm and a fully automated park, no matter what nedry did.

>>215672731>>215672804Nedry was supposed to come back after dropping off the embryos and 'fix the computers'It wouldve just been an annoying glitch to everyone else and after a few days nobody would've thought twice. The real question is, what happens with Nedry, and what happens when Dr Wu goes into the embryo tank and 12 of them are missing?
>>215674959>Nedry was supposed to come back after dropping off the embryos and 'fix the computers'wait, really? I thought he was leaving for goodweren't the systems coming back on their own after 18 minutes?
>>215675048I thought he was going to come back, at least thats how it was in the book.Otherwise why didnt the system re-activate after the 18 min timer?
>>215674925how does Hammonds hubris and ironic lie of spare no expense go over your head? I get Speilberg didnt spell it out but its fairly obvious just semi analyzing the film every single disaster is hammonds cost cutting fault
>>215674959>and what happens when Dr Wu goes into the embryo tank and 12 of them are missing?Exactly. It wasn't like Nedry was stealing research data, he was stealing physical items. I don't see any way how this wouldn't be discovered shortly afterwards.I suppose the logical thing is that he intended to come back so as not to raise immediate very obvious suspicion ("the samples disappeared right when our IT guy disappeared for good!"), but even then, what was his long-term plan? The theft would be discovered soon anyway. He planned to keep working for Hammond while the company investigates who stole the samples, and to hope that they wouldn't figure out that it was him?
There is an image on DeviantArt where she is sensually spreading dinosaur shit all over herself
>>215675248absconding with a suitcase full of cash has been an adequate motive in film for decades, soon a 100 years
>>215675248>>215675292He was only supposed to be there for a weekend, while the skeleton crew was there. His assumption might have been that nobody would detect the physical theft until after he and the other guests had gone back home. Keep in mind, in the original novel he is not a member of the Jurassic Park staff but has rather been called into fix up the system he designed for them remotely. It's his first time in the park.
someone post the bryce dallas howard scene with dino poop from jurassic world, it was a deleted scene
>>215675346Like what did a dino take a dump on her?
Allow me to make an observation:Genetic experimentation on animalsRemote location away from civilizationThe main person running the show here is trying to convince guests that their thing here is super cool and groundbreakingThe main important events of the plot happen during a weekend with only a minimal skeleton crew presentThings get complicated by a tropical stormThe person who goes to fix electricity gets eaten by the animalsSomeone is hiding from the animals in the kitchenThere is Samuel L JacksonIs it Jurassic Park?... or is it Deep Blue Sea?
>>215675327Didnt Dodgeson give him the money in the beginning for getting a few embryos off the island already?
>>215675248>He planned to keep working for Hammond while the company investigates who stole the samples, and to hope that they wouldn't figure out that it was him?Nedry is exactly the kind of person who the expression "all book smarts, no common sense" was made for.You just need to watch EVERYTHING that happens on his "escape" from Jurassic Park to know he's a fucking moron at anything except computers
>>215675382desu all I can recall is seeing a .webm here years ago, she takes the dino poop and smears it on her to cover her scent lol. Not I'm not lying that's what I remember happening
>>215675425A FUCKIN' SHARK ATE ME
>>215675455Could have been worse. At least no one got impregnated by a dinosaur this time.
>>215675425Another observation:A billionaire invites a few talented scientists to come take a look at his special secret project away from civilizationHe promises to finance their work in exchange for this visitKeeps them largely in the dark about the true nature of the project until they are thereThe scientists don't approve of his attempts to play god, which surprises himOne of the core characters is a lawyer who gets eatenThere's an IT guy who is treated like shit by this billionaireIs it Jurassic Park?... or is it Deep Blue Sea 2?
>>215675440Not that I recall. Nedry is pissed at Hammond for screwing over his company with technicalities about the contract and threatening to ruin his small company. He's just a contractor though who designed the system JP uses remotely. They by chance call him in to visit the park on the same weekend the others visit because they are having computer problems that can't be fixed remotely. They are also making Nedry do this for free, as I recall (again why he's pissed).
>>215675544I don't remember it correctly (book version), but Nedry had been developing the system practically as a one man team due to Hammond's obsession with espionage and being a massive cheapskate that had been cutting corners everywhere? He had been treated like shit so badly that it was extremely easy for Ingen to get him to do the theft.I'm not sure if there was a real problem, or it was engineered by Nedry in order to keep all the modems busy with data transfers for the remote dev team and make the comms unusable while he was stealing the embryos.
>>215675694>I don't remember it correctly (book version), but Nedry had been developing the system practically as a one man teamNot quite. He owned his own small developer company and had a few people working for him, but designed the Jurassic Park system to be workable with just one person. Hammond mislead him on the nature of his contract and so got a ton of work out of him at an unreasonably low price and threatened to ruin him if Nedry tried to do anything about it, which would have bankrupted his company and put his people out of work. In the movie, Nedry seems primarily motivated by greed but in the book it is mostly resentment and anger.
You know what is a critical flaw in Jurassic Park's design? There's no fucking doctor or even a nurse assigned to the island 24/7. At best they might have one vet on site and maybe some people know basic first aid but if someone gets seriously sick or injured they've got to heli-flight you to the mainland. Huge oversight.
>>215675759well it's not open yet
>>215675794...but you have dozens of people working there doing dangerous construction and animal management.
>>215675794Employees need doctors too.
>>215669817Indian themed sandwich shop
I suppose there were medics at least during the construction stage, But given that the visit was an act of desperation to calm the investors, either no one was available in time and they relied on calling a medevac helicopter, of Hammond did not want a doctor to report if shit happened. It's been 4 years since I read the book, but looks like they was not any medical staff on site, not even during the construction stage, and they are ferried to Costa Rica for medical assistance.https://jurassicpark.fandom.com/wiki/Prologue:_The_Bite_of_the_RaptorIngen even destroyed photographical evidence of the attack on the kid before, so it looks like they mostly wanted disposable workers.
>>215671606Mold it into a fun shape
>>215675423That's a lot of shitposts.
>>215676128Rather surprising to me that in all the commentary over Jurassic Park and Ingen's misguided approach that nobody has brought up the lack of a doctor, nurse, and paramedic. One of each would be the bare minimum. I'd say you'd want a doctor, two nurses, and four paramedics. Minimum.
>>215676431At a minimum you would want to protect the important assets, meaning the scientists that are working in the genetics labs. Lots of liquid nitrogen there, and high tension stuff. You can bring new guards, but those guys are not easy to replace. Not to mention that the staff would be severely exposed to tropical diseases.I suppose that there would have been a medical room in the Visitors Center, but it would not have been staffed until the park opened. The Lost World seems to retcon and fix this a bit. Isla Sorna was definitely more fleshed with a village, store and amenities for workers. , while Jurassic Park would still be in a barebones state at the time.
Did you know Spielberg ran out of money during production so they reused their portable toilet waste to create the dinosaur poo? Yes, that's real poo she's sifting through. Really ingenious.
