Why are there no good football movies?
When I was in a homeless shelter all they played in the dayroom were football movies from the last 30 years

Every game is a whole fucking 12-hour production assembled like a hallmark tv movie with all the same overproduced sappy emotional investment shlock, from the aggrandizement of the stakes down to the endless slow-mo footage of these overpaid obese meatheads boring lives. Football is the premier sport for stupid, easily distracted people who like violence and cheap spectacle and who can't pay attention to something for more than ten seconds, which is why it's the most popular spectator sport in the USA. 95% of the players on the team are anonymous and you never need to see their faces or know their names. Football is, essentially, the king of all slop sport.They make plenty of football movies, it's just that most of them are really bad because the average football fans is too stupid to appreciate anything that's not slop.
Football in America is too heavily tied in with evangelical christianity, which makes literally every form of media it touches worse. Most modern football movies are really stealth evangelical christian films.
