Why would they give the girl all black eyes? That look evil to me

You know what what you say to a girl with 2 black eyes?
Nothing. You already told that bitch twice!
>>
It is supposed to be for the customer to imagine what they want but the film reason is she is soulless.
>>
>>215725244
she was tempting a replicant robot
>>
>>215725244
they obviously wanted to drive home that she's just a program and not in love with the goose or even capable of emotion
maybe there's something to the media literacy meme, how do you not immediately understand that

>>215725317
HEYYOOO
>>
>>215725244
it's an allegory for bpd girls, they all have souless eyes.
>>
they don't hide what they do in that world
it's open degeneracy
>>
>>215725672
Alli sin joi now.
>>
>>215725244
That is the point, to make her look soulless, more artificial, not human.
>>
>>215725244
Because before you choose a human eye color you get the default soulless black eyes
>>
>>215725244
I dunno, why did the movie start with a close up of an eye? Its a mystery, almost like these things may be symbols? I dunno, I think we're just too stupid for movies.
>>
>>215726488
Oh and they hide it on ours? Lmao it's everywhere you fucking look
>>
>>215727719
in ours*
>>
>>215725244
You have to pay a monthly subscription to unlock different eye colors
>>
>>215725244
Black like a doll's eyes
>>
>>215725244
why didn't she just grab and eat him
>>
>>215725421
That always sat wrong with me. I'm all for a movie exploring how machines can't live you and how unhealthy it would be to convince you they can. Feels like a much more relevant theme now and is actually a plot point in a story I'm currently writing.

But Blade Runner feels like the wrong place to do so. "These artificial creations that look and talk like human are human and it's wrong to enslave them... but these other artificial creations that look and talk like humans are just mindless machines that emotionally manipulate you, fuck them." It's not technically contradictory, I guess, but it just feels off. Particularly because it's not even really the focus of the movie.
