What did Corbet mean by this? Vox Lux is a film where the satanic panic is real, positing a very real proliferation of evil via western pop culture? Is Vox Lux a closet neocon film? The common line is it's about poptimist escapism replacing the hard work of processing trauma being the 21st century's original sin which tallies with the prominent presence of the Freedom Tower.
