ITT: /tv/ that scared you as a kid
One of the Ghost Busters cartoons had a ghost species called a "grundel". They stand outside the bedroom windows of children and try to lure them out. Children who fall prey to them turn into grundels themselves. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqyeTVIKdDI

There's an episode of TNG that's centered around a gaming device which is both a narcotic and means of brainwashing.I'm sure I didn't know what narcotics were when I saw it but the idea that everyone in my life, even my mother, would work together to hunt me down and force this thing on me really freaked me out.

This episode fucking terrified me when I was 3-4Swear to god every time the intro played I was on the edge of my seat hoping it wasn't THIS episode
>>215803894I just looked em up, pretty freaky looking. I never watched the ghostbuster show (never seen the movie either) but I’d be pretty freaked out by these fuckers as a kid. Taps into some kind of primal fear about “the hat man” I’ve seen schizos talk about on /x/And apparently they bust crust, kek
>>215803837This freaky fucker from a Doctor Who spin-off called Sarah Jane Adventures l. It wasn’t very good and it was supposed to be aimed at younger children, but somehow managed to be scarier than anything from DW. Such an uncanny design with the vacant sunken eye socketsThey also had a pretty freaky clown-alien-demon a la IT
I remember watching this at night, alone, on a black&white tv at the summer house in the middle of nowhere, while a storm was raging outside.

I'm almost positive it was The Outer Limits (1995) that had an episode with a transparent bubble showing up in the desert somewhere with an alt-reality farmhouse with family inside, oblivious to the US Army quarantining it. One soldier falls in love with the pretty farm girl and makes his way into the bubble to be with her, only for her to chomp on his neck with big needle-like teeth. Her whole family joins in and tears the soldier apart before the (grandpa?) makes the bubble vanish from our reality by reading from some tome. The way the sweet and pretty farm girl goes feral on the soldier scared the shit out of me as a kid.
>>215812873I have realized that I misspoke. I said haunted. I should have said haunts.I have seen S4E02 twice. I refused to watch it again for literal decades and only agreed to do so with my wife on my left and my dog on my right. Her first words were, "That was FUCKED UP."Twice was plenty.
>>215813571My wife's words, not the dog's. Cleo doesn't say shit.
The babysitter episode of Are you afraid of the Dark? haunted 8 year old me for months.
