I remember a lot more people lined up around theaters for Twilight, people cosplaying, Team Edward and Team Jacob back and forth, etc. and definitely wasn't just teenage girls. It was grown women, college aged women, teenage women.
I remember way more people shitting on it by pretending they’re experts in film by comparing it to Taxi Driver and King of Comedy, two movies they had never heard of prior, while also continuing to regurgitate the same talking points about how “shallow” and “not deep” it was despite never actually following up on what they meant. As well as the retards who were easily manipulated by the media into panicking and shitting themselves thinking it was going to cause people to be violent. I remember those people way more than some fabricated nonsense OP made up in his head to get mad at.
