For a long time, the average revenge kdrama was more of the melodramatic type, heavy on romance and relationships. Stuff like Secret, The Innocent Man, Money Flower, etc. Revenge is typically a key element in many makjangs. Even daily dramas (soap opera equivalents basically) get in on it
There's greater variety these days, so if you're wanting revenge stories that are more thriller/action oriented with less/no romance, more recent releases will probably be your best bet

The first 4 or so episodes definitely have some lightheartedness/humor to them, but that dies down a lot as it goes. Past the halfway point I don't remember much comedy at all. I'd call it more of a regular crime thriller overall.
