That was one of the most tedious hours of television I can remember sitting through. It should've started with the grenade thing and shown us the consequences of that. We did not need 20 minutes of people stocking shelves at a grocery store. And the main character is just so unlikeable. Almost no payoff for the ice hotel thing, and I don't buy Helen and Carol as a couple at all. And a very desperate tactic to throw in a BOMB at the end to wake the audience up. The premise is so good that I'm gonna keep watching for now and hope they work out the kinks, but what a waste of potential so far.

Ep 3 really didn't move the plot at all, the only things we really learned is that the hivemind can make impressive things happen really fast by mobilizing people (everyone with a 3-digit IQ already understood this) and that the hivemind is cooperative to a degree where they would consider giving Carol nuclear weapons. All of that could have been communicated in 10 minutes without making us watch multiple shots of Rhea watching Golden Girls on the couch.
