People kinda hated this movie when it came out but as I grow older it's becoming my favorite one in the trilogy. I think everyone has known someone like Gary King at some point.

Didn't work as a comedy, didn't work as a drama, and didn't work as an action movie. The key difference is that in the other films our main characters were relatable, likeable, and endearing. You wanted them to succeed. Instead what we get is a loser character, his old best friend who hates him, and a bunch of simon pegg's friends.

Gary King is extremely relatable and the sisters of mercy made great music
Gary King is every Gen-Xer that peaked in high school.
The first half is really good especially the themes on aging friendships but the scifi alien shit did nothing for the movie and ultimately felt extremely tacked on which is a shame because the prior 2 films did it more effectively
