Oh yeah that’s another thing
If god doesn’t exist explain why bananas fit perfectly in our hands.
>>
>>216001051
What is their obsession with this strawman that atheists think people shouldn't be afraid of dying?
>>
>>216001120
Most religious people are unempathetic and can’t properly mentally and emotionally model an atheists perception of reality, leading them to make up strawmen for atheist positions

Season 3 was terrible

Because we bred them for that. That's not what natural bananas look like.
>>

>we bred them like that
Nice jewish lies, Rabbi. God did that.

correct, but birth is absolutely terrifying when you realize it's implications.
in the west everybody looks at death, nobody looks at birth.
the implication is that death, commonly "unknowing void," is not permanent. if it was permanent you wouldn't have been born.
so the question isn't "is death permanent," but "what are the chances that subjective experience happens once and only once?"
even the most secular approaches would answer this for you almost automatically. things that happen tend to happen more than once, a hell of a lot more.
so you're just going to wake up again, whether you like it or not.
maybe immediately, maybe after 14 billion years.
not being able to stop death is NOTHING compared to not being able to stop birth.
imagine being trapped awake.
and who knows what you can wake up as...

Atheists literally burn in hrll where they belong
Take it from me, a former atheist. You are a religion

Stfu, Creed as Mr Frog’s dad was beautiful

>>216001336
This is a good example, some people insist everyone, atheists included, have a religion
Yet they know they are dishonest, for they would afford me no special privileges for whatever my “religion” is under the Constitution

this is how you start your argument? fucking retard
>>
>>216001322
Actually, you'll always be born as you, you've lived this life countless times and will continue to do so for all eternity - eternal recurrence

>this is how you start your argument?
yeah just basic logic, death is not permanent because it does not meet the definition of permanence.
the reason it is not permanent is because of the irrefutable fact of birth.

>>216001467
>you'll always be born as you
nope, the forest isn't the same trees coming back over and over. and there is no "you" actually, just a very persistent illusion of a self which is important only in so far as it can alter cause and effect.

>for all eternity - eternal recurrence
there is a way out fortunately
>>
we already know death isn’t permanent because of physical laws that say matter and energy can’t be created or destroyed
when you die all your atoms are still there
>>
>>216001630
but what atoms make consciousness
>>
>>216001509
only when you wake up dead are you not alive
bitch
>>

Chop your cock off for science, racist.

Superspreader. Race is a social construct, white coloniser. We stand with Ukraine.
>>
>>216001649
all of them do, all atoms have some experiential quality to their essence, a rock has an “experience” of being a rock even if we have no idea what that’s like, consciousness does not just magically arise from a sufficient quantity and networking of atoms and energy
