Samus like link is best understood as a player character, not really her own person. If you play the Zelda games and see how people respond to link he comes across as a little rude and unsafisticated in a charming country boy kind of way. Samus tends to be investigating haunted houses so her interactions are limited and it's all the players internal monolog that make up her character. TLDR:Stop making games into movies. They are different mediums for a reason.
