Now, some people say "oh, that's not true because he did that by running". Well, running came naturally for him. It wasn't something that he had to work at to achieve success. He's also a brainless asshole who joins the army, essentially the perfect soldier because he doesn't ask questions nor thinks for himself which is why he never reflects on the Vietnam war and if it was worth it. And despite all of the incredible things that he sees and does, none of it helps him to gain a greater knowledge of the world or develop a deeper understanding of himself. Meanwhile, his beloved Jenny is promiscuous as a teen, protests the Vietnam war, becomes a drug abusing whore, dies of fucking AIDS and all because she was sexually abused as a little girl implying that free will and intellectual curiosity leads to death while Forrest only has sex once, purely for procreation. Director Robert Zemekis is a smart guy and I'd like to think that, by making the USA fall in love with a nightmare reflection of their own vacuous dreams of what it means to be a perfect American, with Forrest Gump he committed one of the greatest acts of Troll-fu ever perpetrated upon civilization!!!FACT!!!
