He just doesn't want to write about fantasy stuff like dragons, ice zombies & time travel and the last two books are supposed to be full of it and that's why they will never come out

>professional writer doesn`t want to write
So why did this fat fuck write in the first place?? My life would`ve been much more peaceful without being bombarded with GoT shit for over a decade

>time travel
That always sucks.

There were great joints of aurochs roasted with leeks, venison pies chunky with carrots, bacon, and mushrooms, mutton chops sauced in honey and cloves, savory duck, peppered boar, goose, skewers of pigeon and capon, beef-and-barley stew, cold fruit soup. Lord Wyman had brought twenty casks of fish from White Harbor packed in salt and seaweed; whitefish and winkles, crabs and mussels, clams, herring, cod, salmon, lobster and lampreys. There was black bread and honeycakes and oaten biscuits; there were turnips and pease and beets, beans and squash and huge red onions; there were baked apples and berry tarts and pears poached in strongwine. Wheels of white cheese were set at every table, above and below the salt, and flagons of hot spice wine and chilled autumn ale were passed up and down the tables. *paaaarrrrrp*

The books are already written and done. The wait has been about money.

It's nothing like the Wars of the Roses beyond some similar sounding names.

Hey George
>>
>>216010765
He needed to include zombies and dragons and faceless assassins and time-travelling tree to appease stupid fantasy geeks who love this shit, but notice how little magical elements factor in the main story of any published books

It fails as a "realistic" medieval fantasy book as well, Gurm the Wurm has a poor understanding of wat an actual medieval society would be like.
So basically the only all is as a blade and boobies pulp novel for middle aged women to schlick to.
>>
Show ending was his true ending. I’m at peace with that
>>
>>216010961
Obviously he didn't mean for it to be accurate to real life middle ages, just entertaing slop about bunch of people fighting for the throne

>>216010960
It's not gun if it was never meant to firr

It really do be like dat.

I read some interview about Fevre Dream and his whole thing was "I really wanted to write about river boats but I thought no one would buy that so I added vampires".

the problem is that he hates christianity and he hates tolkien
but he wrote himself into a corner where there needs to be divine intervension
>>
>>216010426
Doubt it.
He was never a real writing talent he is just a grinder, so his opus planned to finish on a clanger and killed any remaining work ethic. I would put money on his plot outline being close to identical what the TV series ended with and it was just decided to throw D&D under the bus for not cleaning it up as they had in earlier seasons.
