Could someone as just as him exist in real life or is the concept of an impartial jury of one's peers nothing but a farce?

The very conceit of the question misunderstands the role of the jury in the American legal system, as does the film itself does.
Juries are given very specific instructions that they are supposed to follow; and very specific questions that they are supposed to answer. In real life, this kind of conduct and independent investigation in the jury deliberation would be strong grounds for a mistrial.

It's just a drama set in a single room (+ bathroom)
Stop overthinking it
>muh mistrial
IT'S NOT REAL LIFE

Then American high schools should stop showing it in civics class.

except that's wrong. jury deliberations are essentially a black box that the judge may be able to subtlety influence, inform what specific questions are to be answered, but within which anything goes.

I once whipped out my cock when I was on jury duty.

I was in a jury once. I showed em my cock.

I served on a jury last year. Sheboon attacked another Nig with a knife because she "feared" for her life. It was clearly retaliation and her "use of force" was not necessary. Everyone except me and another guy initially voted not guilty during our preliminary voting. The old liberal boomer women were heralding the call for not guilty, and the animus in the room at the "guilty" camp was palpable.

And let me tell you, it can be very hard to stand alone or be in a small minority, enclosed in a small room, with 11 other people, and try and explain why they are wrong.

I conceded and went with not guilty, and I regret it.

>Can I argue about whether film or television is like real life?
Can you kill yourself

Have you ever heard of something called a jury nulification? The jury can disregard everything they've heard at the trial and every word out of the judge's mouth. Especially the instructions.

I'd probably vote not guilty too. One ape attacking another is not worth arguing with 11 people over.

This is very antisemitic. Leo Frank was innocent

what kind of knife did the sheboon use? a switchblade, a bowie, a kitchen??

Once, the bailiff called me two weeks after the letter had been sent out and threatened to arrest me if she didn't get my questionnaire in the mail in 5 days
