I wouldn't save him either
>>
If someone is drowning I do not need to jump in to save them. And no, I’m not killing them by not trying to.

Nolan really fucking sucks at fight scenes. He's fine with action scenes. But a fight scene? Dude sucks dick and he's even gotten better at it over the years but still kind of blows.

What's the picture he's refusing to sign?

>If someone is drowning I do not need to jump in to save them
Legally and morally if you have the capability to save someone from death and you choose not to, you are liable for that persons death.
You can't just watch a 3 year old drown and shrug and say 'not my kid not my problem.'

Sure I can, I'm not a lifeguard it's not my job to save him.

What a fucking bitch. You won't do shit, old man.
>>
>>216026066

Yeah that was super stupid. I just finished watching it 2 hours ago and holy shit. Both Burton and Nolan don't give a fuck that Batman doesn't kill and always saves his shitty retarded villains.
>>
>erm, if I don’t pull this lever that’s not the same thing as murder because… IT JUST ISNT OK???
Fuck off batman your morality is shit
>>

You’re morally obligated to do so. It’s not about someone paying you. Are you American by chance?
>>
>>216028437
NTA, but when I did a first aid course, the instructor was emphatic that you should never put your own life at risk to save someone else. Especially in a drowning situation, because if you try to do it and aren't a strong swimmer or are inebriated, that will be twice as many bodies that will need to be recovered. It happens all the time.

When I worked as a security guard, I found this unresponsive homeless man laying in the middle of the underground parking garage I was patrolling. He was obviously ODing.

I called 911, and the operator told me to roll him on his side. "Eww, I have to touch him?" I thought. I didn't have gloves, just my bare hands. But I did as instructed, despite my extreme apprehension. Paramedics came and dosed him with narcan. He immediately sprang up and ran off.

Anyways, I realized I saved that man's life. He got to break into cars and buy more fent for another day thanks to me. I did the right thing

I interpreted a “three year old drowning” as being something at a swimming pool, not out in the middle of the ocean. I get what you mean though. If there’s crashing waves and shits stormy while you can barely swim then yea that’s a different issue. The way the anon worded things makes it seem like he could see a toddler face down in a paddling pool and he wouldn’t feel obligated to help because he’s not getting paid money
>>

Joker & Penguin both die in Tim Burton's movies anon.

I love that movie
it convinced me that spielberg is a bona fide nazi
that man would have been declared a honorary aryan and given the highest decorarations of the third reich

>can't smell through the screen so it's the best use of cinema and the way to experience that jewish fantasy called "holocaust"
truly a gem

Only if saving that person doesn't put you in danger. You can't force people to dive and risk their lives to save someone from drowning.

This entire thread is just people defending Ra's and calling Batman the real bad guy for allowing Ra's -- the VILLAIN, mind you -- to die.

That's what 4chan is now. Just the opposite of the correct answer.

All live action Batmen post Adam West have to wear the Bat-Mascara otherwise the skin around their eyes shows through the mask's eyes and they look ridiculous. It wasn't until this latest Robert Pattinson Batman that it became an actual part of his in movie "costume" though.
>>
>>216028766
batman, whether he is correct or not, wants to save everyone, even his arch-nemeses. furthermore, he does not believe in acting as judge, jury and executioner.

nolan has demonstrated a fundamental misunderstanding of the character with this take in begins (and more egregiously in tdk when he literally kills two-face)
>>
>>216026681
Actually you do. In Medieval German Cities all citizens had to swear an oath to defend their city. Not showing up to defend a city, fleeing too soon and not helping to put out a fire would make you an oath breaker and be harshly punished. In fact in some cities you were handed a bucket, when you got the rights to be a citizen.

Therefore based on this we can deduce that you not only have to help someone drowning, but that you deserve your rights to be taken away from you, if you do not help.

>>216028766
Batman is a priestly figure. He is refusing to use certain weapon types just like a Cleric in Dungeons & Dragons. The entire point of his character is that in Christianity EVERYONE is redeemable, no matter how evil he is. At least is how the Jewish writers want to portray Christianity. In real Christianity you would just let the Nobleman order the death of the evil person, but let the priest pray for his soul. This Jewish Christianity is a Christianity without the Pagan counterforce of a warrior class nobility.
>>
>>216028766
Batman when he gets back to go to sleep that night will be thinking to himself he could have saved him but he didn't. It wasn't a situation he had to risk too much to save him, he was right there and Batman chose to leave him to it

However, it's not as clear case of murder as 1989 where Batman attaches a gargoyle to Joker's leg while he is being taken away by helicopter, but Batman has already murdered several people by then

No it's not, I'm not going to risk my life to save someone else's shitty toddler, it was their responsibility as parents to protect it, not mine.

Explain to me how the microwave weapon can cause water in pipes that are 50+ feet beneath the train car to instantly boil and explode shooting sewer grates into the air on its path but it has no effect on water molecules in the human body or anything else around the train including human blood which is mostly water?

Explain how Gotham, a city of likely many millions of people, had Crane's drug being dumped into the pipes for days before they set off the microwave weapon, and nothing happened? Was no one boiling water for cooking in the entire city of Gotham? Had no one in a water treatment plant been exposed to it? Had no one in any industry that uses and heats water for whatever not exposed to the vapors? Wouldn't there have been reports from all over the city of people going insane when exposed to water vapor starting a massive investigation since it would be a massive public safety concern?

Nolan is a hack, it's just that simple. Batman Begins is such an overrated movie, all of his movies are, and yet they're still the "best" batman movies.
>>
>>216026105
he relaxed for a bit and a black bastard almost got to him
>>
>>216028766
Its batman that's adding an extra level of difficulty when dealing with villains by not wanting to kill them. If he wanted to kill Ra's outright I don't think anyone would have a problem with it but since he want to make this high and mighty stance but then do this cute little play on words that essentially equals out to manslaughter (at the minimum) yeah I'm gonna call him out on it. I wish they had touched on it some in TDK because it's basically the main motivating factor behind the Joker

>>216029457

>>
>>216026066

Bats no killing rule is not based on morals or even logic though. He is a highly functioning sociopath with a pathological need for hurting criminals. The reason he doesn´t kill is because, in his mind, as long as he doesn´t he is not a monster, he is not like them. If he could justify killing just one of them he could justify killing them all.

The point being it´s all about him so if he says it doesn´t count then it doesn´t count because he is convinced that it doesn´t count. Not that i care about Nolan´s Batman though, i´m more of a TAS/ Burton Bats myself.
>>
>>216030965
He also kills, mames, and manslaughters in more adaptations than otherwise, and he killed originally. Even Superman doesn't really have a no kill rule. I think this is just reddit nerds trying too hard to prop superheroes up to Christlike levels of standards they never truly deserved or achieved.
>>
>>216030851
We discussed this before and iirc it doesn't microwave the water, but it causes a reaction in a chemical in the water. Fox explains this but it's so fast nobody caughts, still it's some shitty idea and it would be better to just microwave terrorists away.

>Had no one in a water treatment plant been exposed to it? Had no one in any industry that uses and heats water for whatever not exposed to the vapors?
This has no defense. They just cracked a big pipe inside Arkham and said "we've been dumping the toxic chemical in the water for weeks (months?)". At this point everyone should be high af in the Narrows. The whole gas plot feels like a recycled version of the Joker's plan in Batman 89, with the balloons. In the same vein in TDK the whole sonar thing is very similar to the Sonar Suit used in Forever, eyes and all.
