How did they do it? Nothing else from 1991 looks like this.

Do you think hasta la vista should have been the final quip

AI upscaling.

No, it doesn't look like it could have been filmed today. It's actually good.

Most 90s movies look better than movies today because they use practical effects. I know T2 still uses cgi but it's limited to liquid metal. CGI always looks bad and Hollywood has been relying on it for 25 years. It's not impressive at all but they just keep doing. I mean, go watch Alien. That movie looks spectacular and it's almost 50 fucking years old

Still the best movie ever made

I'd agree if it weren't for some of the cringe lines from John Connor

I think my entire life has been embarrassing. It's a shame. I try not to bother anyone anymore though as best I can.

I love the blueiness of T2. All the night scenes are gorgeous. I think the effects worked so well because James Cameron had already perfected the methods for the liquid metal animations with "The Abyss". And he learnt how to exploit the rear screen projection shots and practical effects through his work on "Terminator". Cameron also had the stunt helicopter pilot really fly under the freeway bridge, which is insane. The part where the Terminator crashes the liquid nitrogen truck and jumps off the truck and rolls away is all rear screen projection, but it looks almost seamless.

Why they didnt make female terminator that you can fuck?

If it looked like a film made today it would look like shit

Movie effects peaked with Davey Jones in Pirates. It has gotten worse every year since then. The main reasons are cost of labor, competency crisis, inflation, and outsourcing.
