Glad the backlash to preschool slop is finally starting to happen
>>
>>216027247
bro got beef with toddlers
>>
>>216027247
Homosexuals/bots/sock puppets on x aren't trustworthy sources for...anything.

Bluey suceeds because it is heartfelt and trusts it's audience.
>>
>>216027309
Not too long ago, there was a group of manchildren who liked the show saying that it was more mature than Game of Thrones or whatever because of one or two sad scenes, I'm glad that people are waking up and finally realizing that it's a preschool show. Reminds me of how stupid people were convinced in idiocracy that water makes plants grow.
>>
>>216027331
Just because it has a sad scene or two does not mean that it is made for adults.
>>
>>216027331
>>216027381
its made for adults to watch with their children.
>>
>>216027411
It's made for preschoolers, it was greenlit as a show meant for preschoolers and it is marketed towards preschoolers, saying otherwise is like saying that the sky isn't blue or whatever.
>>
>>216027247
So is Bluey good to watch with my kid? Just getting to that age, and I've surprisingly had both total chuds and wokesters recommend it to me. Been wondering what the catch is.
>>
>>216027441
There are much better shows worth your time.
>>
>>216027441
I watch it with my niece. It's 90s PBS levels of wholesome.
>>
>>216027441
There is no television that is good for kids to watch.
>>
Oh hey, it’s one of those preschool shows that millennial retards think is deeper than it actually is. Like paw patrol
>>
>>216027452
Such as?
>>216027460
More or less agreed. But zero television isn't practical, especially with grandparents and relatives watching the kid from time to time. We figure if we can establish a handful of the more-worthwhile options as favorites, relatives will put those on rather than just any mindrot.
>>
>>216027470
They've been doing this as soon as the recession hit, even in 2009, millennials were obsessed with toddler shows as seen with this picture taken in 2009 showing somebody wearing a Sesame Street shirt.
>>
>>216027491
How about you show them family-friendly 50s stuff like The Honeymooners or I Love Lucy?

What >>216027454 said
It reminds me of one of those good kids shows from PBS. It isn't a must-watch show, but its good in what it does. I like it mostly for Bandit, the dad in the show. It is very rare to see a dad depicted as not an idiot and actually competent while trying to teach their kids good morals.
I think if more tv shows were better written then Bluey would be just another good kids tv show. I don't think its a must watch, yet its good at what it does (which is an accomplishment in today's age).
Also someone is going to say Bluey is woke, which isn't true. They may say it teaches that dads can be moms, which isn't true due to the context of the episode. They may also say that there is an episode where a kid says they have two moms, which also isn't true in context of the vernacular and context of the kids response.
>>
>>216027454
There were wholesome adult shows in the 50s that are more worth your time.

Kids shows have always been at the top because billions of kids are watching them
Is this a psyop
>>
>>216027550
Shows like Bob's Burgers or any 80s or 90s show depicts good dads.
>>
Why are the right wing freaking out over Bluey
>>
>>216027606
Because the show presents woke values such as teaching kids that men can give birth.
>>
Does it even matter what someone that age watches? Would it make any difference if they watched Oz instead?
>>
>>216027620
It's a show meant for literal babies, it's no different or weird than watching Dora the Explorer or Cocomelon as an adult.
>>
>>216027331
And has pregnant men
>>
>>216027550
I do like that as well. I'm a pretty hands-on dad and end up watching the kid slightly more than my wife, so the more stereotypical depictions of clueless or distant fathers would chafe a bit. Before having a kid, I never really noticed how much our culture (women) shits on fathers. Sometimes seems like half of all articles about parenting topics end up having a dig about worthless fathers that don't do anything. It's like, I'm sorry that you got knocked up by a deadbeat lady, but it's not my fucking fault or problem, my kid has 2 highly involved parents.
>>
>>216027577
Bob is a cuck that lets his family walk all over him and then apologises for it.
>>
>>216027559
She's five, anon. She's gonna have no idea what the fuck is going on if I throw up I Love Lucy or Andy Griffith. We mostly watch Bluey, Sesame Street, and Mister Rogers or throw some older Disney movies on. Or we'll just forget TV altogether and play blocks or do coloring or whatever.

>>216027606
Gotta freak out over something.
>>
>>216027673
I watched old 40s shit as a kid and understood what was going on.
>>
Maybe we left the golden age of not letting the TV raise our kids.

>>
>>216027749
It showcases that idiots are starting to wake up and realize that Bluey is a preschool show, nothing more.
>>
>>216027441
It's ok. There's minimum woke garbage. The wife is kind of a bitch to the dad for no reason. There's some weird shit where they act like they're being mind controlled to dance for no reason and it reminds me of adult fetish content w a remote control. iykyk

Mr Rogers is S tier and you should be going through his entire catalog of seasons which is on prime.

Kids will mimick all this shit, for a long time mine was saying he was a "coochie grandma" any time he had to wear a towel because there's an episode where they wear towels and pretend to be Grandma's. I have no idea where the word coochie came from or how he got it in his vocabulary.

Mine aren't in daycare so this is my personal experience with this. There's much worse shows like Caillou, Daniel Tiger, coco melon, blippi which should all be nuked off the air forever

>>216027576
>billions of kids are watching them
Kids are a small minority of the population now that birthrates have taken a nose dive and crashed pretty much everywhere
But the thing is that when a kid really likes some piece of media, they go absolutely bonkers watching/rewatching that shit constantly plus screaming at their parents to buy merch
And unlike adults they have tons of free time. So a very profitable sector to make content to. Even the likes of cartoon network is trying to drop the teen/young adult cartoon focus to make toddlerslop because they see the cash on the horizon last I checked.
>>
>>216029013

anglo countries like to go on and on about the evils of racism but thats just to hide up their insufferable classism.

the middle class looks down on the poor for being lazy and not working hard enough, while the upper class is straight up schitzo paranoid about the middle class because they think they work too hard and are only doing so in order to prepare for the oppertunity to replace the existing upper class, so the upper class makes the lower class fight the middle class to keep it incheck. Everyone is playing a different game by a different set of rules and thats how you get dystopian societies with contradictory values.

The big shift in australia happened after ww2. The ww2 vets were basically libertarian maxing to the point where they were more competent than the actual government. There was a relatively minor incident in like the 1950s or 60s, i dont remember which, but basically some retards were fucking around, and abunch of middle class chads saved the day all on their own with zero government intervention. By the time the government heard about the event, it was already over. The middle class chads thought they were just being responsible citizens, but it made the government fags realize 'oh fuck, these people are armed, trained, and more organized than the government... they could easily overthrow us in a bloodless coup (even though they have no reason to do so). We better take away their guns and import poorfag forigners to wreck their good times to keep them distracted from trying to sieze power (not that anyone wanted to). As the upper class does more and more fucked up shit on the sly, they become more and more paranoid that some day they are going to be punished by the people they victimize, so they double down on their abuse and control.

The only thing more paranoid than an upper class jew, is an upper clas modern day anglo.

Even the better stuff rewires their brain at least a little bit, so that they seek the TV stimuli. If you watch your kids really closely, you can easily notice, that they aren't naturally interested in screens before their 3rd birthday. They either learn it from their other siblings or get used to it (and then seek it of course). I have three sons myself and I think I made a small mistake with the middle one getting him used to the TV too early. With my third one it's really obvious that screens just aren't real to him and he isn't getting anything meaningful from it.

If you were a parent you'd realise this a normal conversation dads have and the writers put things like this into the show so it's relatable to adults as well as kids.

Priming them to be glued to ipads. Incredibly parenting.

I won't say you shouldn't want kids like the other anon but raising a kid most definitely isn't the best way to deal with loneliness
