>Like movie>Everybody assumes I'm a fan of some massive pile of convoluted tie-in fiction Any other examples of this?

Loved the movie but I hated the show. Looked like low-budget dreck. One of those garbage-tier sci-fi shows only a nerd can get behind. Everything about the show is unbearably cringe.
>>216028885TNG was popular so every other network decided to make the exact same show
>>216028885only a nerd would use the word dreck

>>216028707That is a really great movie poster. I love graphic design like that.
maybe guardians of the galaxy. don't really care for all the superhero tie in tv shows and movies
>>216029057>gay pride

>>216029057Movie posters used to look so fucking good man
>>216029144Same with album covers
>>216028885the show was fantastic, but the first season was pretty rough. the budget kicks in in the second season and the writing improves massively. you still have to take it as a product of its time though, even as well done as it was, it was a tv show of the late 90s and early 00s pre-hbo game of thrones spartacus era where all tv shows started to look good. >>216028931sg-1 was tonally completely different from TNG, the only similarities were surface level. you need look no farther than the difference between a prime directive and a P90 to see how the shows attitudes towards interplanetary contact differ on a very fundamental level
>>216028707i did not like the film, watched it in a cinema decades ago and do not like anything related to it.
