"... zscale=p=bt709,tonemap=tonemap=mobius ..."this is the important part. when converting to sdr from hdr you're changing color spaces (typically from bt2020 to bt709) and so the colors that couldn't be displayed in the new color space are clipped, so you have to use a tone mapper. p=bt709 refers to the primary colors used (bt709's primaries). for tone mappers, you have mobius, hable, or reinhard. i prefer mobius."... zscale=t=bt709:m=bt709:r=tv,format=yuv420p"finally, you give it the proper transfer function, colormatrix/color-space, color range (tv or limited), and format. bt709 and yuv420p are pretty standard for sdr.
