Zelda is a princess who goes adventuring, link is a boy in a village also adventuring, they meet in the wild, don't know their duties yet until something happens and impa tells zelda, who then tells link.Idk it seems like the basic plot but what characters they include and how slop it looks is unpredictable. Imagine how live action usually goes in Japan, attack on titan, death note, they usually follow closely but change the plot to fit in a film. This is a game with many stories, following one alienates audiences and risks ruining the original, so it's a new story. Look at long as the entire cast is only white and asian, even gerudo have to be light middle eastern like lebanese, then it will be tolerable.
