Also, and this is very important to consider, they were MARRIED to a man who could provide for them and their eventual children and with few exceptions the man was not going to walk out on them due to social pressure and outright legal reasons. Getting back to "they are sexually developed", this does not matter. It's not like teenagers in the past got fucked then the man left. The man MARRIED the teenager and provided for her for decades and protected her. He did not come for a quick fuck then peace out like 99% of these men want to do.
