I had to quickly check when The Other Guys released, but it was 2010. Basically look at TV or movies anywhere after 2012/13 and you'll see how bad it is in comparison to previous.

It was one of the last movies that made me laugh out loud from the actual jokes within the movie, so I give it credit. Self-referential comedy is hard to nail but it did a good job of it.
