Why does Disney think franchises are what people liked? There is nothing special about the Indiana Jones character or world. People liked the films because they were fun exotic adventures with a handsome and charismatic lead. You don't need the IP. Fourth one was a slapped together mess. The concept is weird and strange. Exploration really stops becoming a thing around the 1940s. The film takes place in late 1950s, after the entire world is mapped. unless he’s going to marina trench or moon, there is nothing new. i won’t even bother with fourth one. modern indie films should basically not exist outside of 1945. when Third Reich dies, indie dies as far as i’m concerned.
