I liked it especially Pattison and Kravitz acting and Gotham portrayal in the movie
>>
>>216035744
It's insane that zoomers prefer it to Nolan
>>
>>216035744
Falls apart in the third act
>>
Kino. Actually willing to be a comic book movie, unlike grey sterile Nolanslop.
>>
Cool look for pingo, everything else explosive liquid curry shit spraying into your eyes and mouth
>>
Pattison was better than Bale
>>
>>216035934
Nolan movies feel too sterile and formulaic
Not saying they are bad but you can definitely feel downsides in the last one
>>
>>216035744
Absolutely terrible.

They need to buy out Ulsan and put Batman back in the trunks. Stretch the 66 costume over the batfleck one and youll have a perfect Batman.

Then, make a movie that fits that tone. If miller and mazzucchelli can do it so can Hollywood.
>>
>>216036245
Uslan*
>>
I liked Paul Dano playing his classic autistic loser role.
>>
Better than Nolan's
>>
>>216036342
I just don’t know why they called him riddler

The shitty thing is Dano could have played a great suit and top hat conventional riddler.
>>
The worst depiction of Riddler and that is saying a lot.
>>
>>216035986
Crystal clean female Bernie Sanders copycat really was an override
>>
>>216035744
It's the most mid Batman movie ever made. The film is basically Nolan Batman, if the Nolan Batman movies were lame and boring.
>>
>>216035744
i thought it was pretty good
>>
>>216035744
It's pretty good, but it doesn't quite work for some reason. Maybe it's the pacing and story that bring it down. I just notice that every time I watch it I become less invested right after the Batmobile chase. Then it kind of just turns into slop for me. I would probably rate it higher than TDKR.
>>
>>216036424
It’s better than rises but not even remotely as good as begins or the dark knight
>>
>>216036566
Rises is a 6/10 for me, The Batman is 5/10. Most Batman movies are either 9 or 10s (Begins, TDK, Burtman films) or 2s or 3s (Schumacher, anything by Sneeder).
>>
>>216035744
Too long and crosses over from semi-plausible to the usual overblown cgi crap fest when the Batmobile ir racing down the highway with shit exploding everywhere.
Still, it gave us The Penguin tv show, so at least some good came of it.
>>
>>216035744
failed on every level except a couple actors and some cinematography.
>>
>>216035744
Ruined by "white men are le evil" line from Kravitz. I literally threw my DVD copy away.
>>
>>216036645
but you were ok with bella RRRRREAL?
>>
>>216035744
mall goth Batman and I love it
>>
>>216035934
I grew up with the Nolan movies and "The Batman" is way more "Batman" than any of the Nolan's. A bit too long though
>>
>>216036881
This is absurd to say though. They’re both quite embarrassed of being cape films. There is nothing about The Batman that is particularly warmly embracing the comics.

At least in begins had some year one influence and there were the fantastical fear toxin sequences, martial arts training, ninjas and notably the bat swarm sequence. TDK leans into the TLH influence at multiple points.

The Batman could have been about any character by any name.
>>
>>216036592
That fair, though snyder didn’t make a Batman film so I don’t see the point in bringing him up. I’d also prefer to rewatch, and have rewatched, the Kilmer and Clooney flicks more than The Batman or Rises. For that matter Ive watched Snyder’s films more than rises or the Batman.
>>
>>216035744
it's kino and on the same level as Begins and The Dark Knight
>>
>>216037252
I count Batman v. Superman as a Batman film. The worst Batman film of all time, narrowly edging out Batman & Robin, but still a Batman film.
>>
>>216035744
The opening sequence when he talks about using the shadows is 100% awesome. The rest of the movie is okay.
>>
>>216037277
TRUKE
BVS is closer to a Batman film than a Superman one (and it fucking sucks).

I'm still waiting for "A Batman" by villaneuve to come out, so I can watch him sit and stand around in plain grey, featureless backgrounds while coloured lights go on and off slowly with some tuneless ambient music drones in the background.

>>216037333

It isn’t a Batman film though autismo. Seems more like you just wanted to melt down about Snyder.
>>
>>216037333
it's actually a christmas film that was saved in the edit by a woman
>>
>>216037371
saw it a few months ago for the first time and can't rememeber anything about it. I watched all the dc drivel that I'd been avoiding for years - intense boredom or desire to escape.
even watched aquaman 1 and 2, suicide squad 1 and 2, think I stayed clear of the nog beetle.
man of steel wasn't bad though. caville could have done with another superman film, he was good
>>
I thought it was alright but very forgettable
>>
>>216037365
>Great Denis Joint
>>
>>216035934
its because Nolan formed a believable batman, especially in batman begins, and zoomers cant believe that someone would ever work that hard. they like their scrawny batman thats never been to the gym and has a cool looking but really slow car because its easier for them to self insert.

>>216035744
its trash.
>>
>>216037489
I don't know what that means, but for the thought, for the consideration and appreciation of the art of capture capturing, thanks
>>
>>216037562
a movie. Like Spike Lee, "A Spike Lee Joint"
>>
i actually won't be enjoying any batman movies until i have fully recovered from heath ledger's death.
>>
>>216036881
>is way more "Batman" than any of the Nolan's

With black catwoman and asian riddler? LMao.
>>
>>216035744
he cinematography and ambience of the film is amazing, it's nice to look at. The movie itself is a fucking bore and too long. I wish batman and catwoman had more scene together too
>>
>>216038045
That was the most faithful Catwoman in live action and it would still be the most faithful catwoman even if she was actually african.
Paul Dano is 100% white, he's some swedish/slav mystery meat, are you retarded?
>>
I thought it was all right. Covid fucked it up like everything else and the third act kinda falls apart, but everything else was cool. I never held the whole stink of Twilight over Pattison's head or Stewart's either for that matter and it paid off; I kinda dug his take on Bruce Wayne for how it deviated from many of the previous interpretations. He wasn't some GQ-cover hot billionaire putting on the public veneer of being the hottest and most eligible bachelor; he was withdrawn, hiding in the dark in his cave of a house and actual cave, pale skin from lack of sunlight, circles and bags under his eyes from lack of sleep. Bruce's parents death turned him very reclusive. Very different take.
It was good; it could have been a lot better but it was really good for what we got, what it is, and other stuff that had to get scrapped due to unforeseen circumstances, but...it was good.

Cautiously optimistic for the sequel.

>>216038395
>That was the most faithful Catwoman in live action
Just stop dude
>>
>>216035744
I liked it
>>
>>216035934
it's insane that anyone likes Nolan
>>
>>216038459
>never held the whole stink of Twilight over Pattison's head
This has nothing to do with why people dislike the film. His casting is the only decent thing about it.

He hasn’t had twilight “hanging over his head” in like 15 years. Movies like good time and the lighthouse proved he was a good actor years ago.
>>
>>216035744
Didnt like it all.

It did look the part at least

>>216035934
I don't like the Nolan movies that much because of the Rachel subplot, I always thought having a romantic interest to Batman makes sense, but it's really done in a boring ass way.
I like The Batman because at least it uses more Batman, and the small rogue gallery is pretty good, I only liked Scarecrow, Joker and TwoFace from the Nolan's ones. Also Catowman and Batman are more believable lovers in this one than in Rises.

Fight wise, definitely Nolan tho an

Im sorry my friend but did you get raped as a child ?
