Why didn't people like this? It was basically just Pirates of the Caribbean, but in the old west.
>>216051387>Why didn't people like this? Johnny Depp fatigue. I'm sad because it pretty much killed Gore Verbinsky's career.
>>216051387>we have jack sparrow at home
>>216051387Because there was a big gay media push at the time to scandalize depp's casting as well as some other shit. I don't even remember all it was about I just know it was multiple things at once and the general public outlook became more and more negative due to the nonstop coverage. I'm ashamed to say it worked on me and I didn't get around to giving it a chance until years and years later. I'm mad at myself for falling for it.
>>216051387bollywood vibes
>>216051387It lacks soul
>>216051387Pacing issues. It had a stellar beginning and climax but the middle of the film drags on too long. If they cut out a solid 45 minutes of runtime it'd be remembered as a modern classic. I still get goosebumps when the theme kicks in during the final action sequence
>>216051436the lead was some retarded nepo faggot that was into cannibalism, and his faggy text messages were leaked. He also has no charisma to lead anything, let alone support
>>216051549Arnie Hammer is a cannibal?
all yall just a bunch of lone rangers
>>216051387I've seen it when it came out, but I remember absolutely zero about it. Only that the proto-woke activists (we called then sjws at the time) had a meltdown over it.
>>216051574this guy’s been living under a rock since covid lol
>>216051495>theme kicks in during the final action sequencethis shit is so cool. It’s like when an anime plays the theme song during the final battle or a videogame has the main theme but with lyrics during the final fight. Love this trope
Armie Hammer had no rizz
>>216052634It’s unfortunate. He’s very tall, very handsome, comes from old money, but has virtually zero charisma
>>216051574yeah, and not the good kind that women like, a la picrel
