>>
>decide to make a live action DBZ movie
>don't make it a kid adventure movie based on the Pilaf Saga where Kid Goku and Teen Bulma go around collecting the dragon balls and getting into comedic hijinks
what were they thinking
>>
>>216052397
>i think it's [HEADCANON]
Doneydone.

The chinese already did that a few times and we never saw a new Dragon Ball show made in the 2000s.
>>
>>216052243
>japanese anime based on a chinese story is massively popular in the west
>western producers decide to adapt highly successful japanese anime based on a chinese story into a live action film
>their first move is to cast a white guy as goku and change the setting to a modern day american high school
what went so wrong with the making of this movie and why did they needlessly change so much?
>>
>>216052397
CHADgon CHAD CHADvolution mogs SHITper.

Those people still don't understands that Shitper isn't canon anymore since the first episode of Daipa came out, just like GrandTour stopped being canon when Shitper was the new kid in the playground. Why do you even bid attention to whatever they say?

It is genuenly a good movie if you watch it as its own thing and not an adaptation. Its fun and has a good message, good pace, good characters. Everyone just gets autistic about wanting a 1:1 recreation of the anime, wanting it to be something its not. Its just a low budget adventure movie about becoming a man and conquering your primal instincts. You would like it if it wasnt called dragonball.

In fact, he came to love Dragon Ball so much that he became the voice of Zamasu, one of the villains in Dragon Ball Super. He was credited under a few different names, one of which was just a jumbling of his own name, but it was him.

Justin Chatwin is a horrible actor, the duologue was shit, the writing was shit, most of the other actors were shit. This is low tier bait or a tire dead brained opinion
>>
>>216055327
Nope, the writing is good, the performances are fine, youre just repeating what you are told like a parrot.
>>
>>216052243
i never understood how dbz wil show sometimes people being harmed by their own attacks and then immediately after that show a point blank exchange with a massive explosion and now the person is unharmed
>>
>>216056214
Uh it's called canceling out, chuddy
