I think this is what defines woke writing for me. When you have a really cool character like Steve, played by an actor with huge charisma and terrific hair, and then you don't really do anything to capitalise on it because doing so wouldn't give you the opportunity to get on your soapbox and further your agenda. They had the choice to do something rad about driving around the upside down bashing monsters and solving crimes or whatever and chose not to.
It was never going to live up to the hype, but I didn't think it would be this bad. The first episode might as well be on any other season, as nothing has changed, and nothing changes
