1 is just an always-miss, 20 is an always-hit.
doesn't apply to anything besides to-hit/attack rolls, maybe saving throws. there's no epic 'i seduce the dragon...NAT 20 ZOMG!!!' rule.

It's such a fun house rule that for most people it's the standard. Like playing a draw 2/4 on a draw 2/4 adding to and passing the draw on isn't a rule in Uno, but it's how almost anyone will have played it and they'll think you're killing the fun if you try to insist.

Where's the one where they're playing 40k? I remember Chiffre playing as the Orks and ending his monologue with "WAAAAAGH"

At least with DND you can sort of say the DM has the last word on how to play.

I carry a rhombic dodecahedron die and whenever I see some tabletop game store in a mall or a similar place, I walk in and ask if they have a D12 dice, but not a regular dodecahedron, but a rhombic one, "like this one". The reactions vary, but are always amusing.

Virgin in the White shirt is playing the White Minis on the lid (White Scars). In a earlier edition their bikers had the ability to not be deployed until your first turn. Virgin was cheesing this giving him the advantage of seeing where his opponent was deploying his entire army, allowing him to counter with fast units. The Chad kneeling and smiling heard of what Virgin was doing so he made an army that sucked in every way except it totally countered Virgins army.
Chad was playing Tau with all Kroot units that have the ability to deploy in your opponents zone. When he deployed them he spread them out so they stretched from one end of his opponents deployment zone to the other. The White Scars could only deploy from their end of the board only if they were more than (I think) 6 inches from their opponents minis. Because the Kroot completely stretched his side of the deployment that meant he couldn't put any of his minis on the board which meant he had no units at the end of the first turn which meant he lost without even playing. Virgin seethed and called the judge who determined that this was all rules as written and sided with kChad.
Chad lost the rest of the tournament but that didn't matter because his only goal was the cuck virgin which he did.

Guy in white shirt was exploiting the reinforcment rules by not deploying his army during the depolyment faze and waiting after the first turn is played. Guy in black shirt deployed his army across the entire table preventing white shirt setting up his minis.

I also have a SD card with a built-in USB slot. I like using it for transferring small files. People's reactions are amazing when they see it. You'd be shocked irl too if I gave it to you. The point is sharing a laugh with a person.

What do you think of this picrel one?

>a nigger dodecahedron
Ackshually the rhombic one is highly superior to the platonic one. It has a cubic/octahedral symmetry which is far more elegant.
>>
>>216364613
>32
Looks like it's a truncated icosahedron ("soccer ball pattern"), which wouldn't be a fair dice because the dihedral angle isn't the same everywhere on it. But I suppose it can be a "fair enough" dice casually.
>>
... actually, no, the arrrangement of faces isn't correct for it to be a truncated icosahedron. Seems like it's some arbitrary "roughly uniform" arrangement that doesn't correspond to any of the nice polyhedra.
>>
I thought this was going to be a fun thread
>>
>>216364496
It is: 90% of the game is just figuring out what the current most busted strat is (trivial in the internet age) and buying the required models asap.5% of the game is seeing who goes first (first player has a 2/3 chance of winning). The remaining 5% is based on skill and luck... so most games are already decided before they are played: "Oh you fielded bullshit strat X? well that counters my bullshit strat Y, gg! now lets spend two hours to get to the result that we can both already perfectly predict"

40k is godawful but still serves a valuable function in the wargaming community as the ultimate plebfilter that autistic retards get stuck on forever.

Can your platonic dodecahedron do this?

Also, the rhombic dodecahedron geometry / axis system allows jumbling, while the platonic one doesn't.

>>
>>216364380
If I'm understanding it correctly (I don't get 40k):
>Shooter goes first and puts out his commander
>Wheels deploys nobody so he can do his exploit
>Shooter says "nuh uh" and places an entire enemy line of scouts right on Wheels' side of the table.
>Because Wheels deployed nobody, and because there's not a single 5cm gap in the line for him to move his troops through (hence why Shooter put out a fuckton of scouts to make sure the line was closed), Wheels literally cannot put anything on the board and automatically loses.
That's actually fucking hilarious.

>>
>>216365134
Yes that's how it happened. There's a couple dozen armies with slightly different quirks so that's how you got a masterpiece of a troll game like that. Mechanics abusers getting mechanics abused is never not funny. They have altered it since to explicitly prevent this type of auto win from occurring again, but there's always the chance for specific faction abilities to work in weird ways.
