Why did none of the Beatles movies succeed?
A Hard Day's Night and Yellow Submarine are classics.
The Rutles >>
>>216477352All of their movies were successful except Magical Mystery Tour which was a tv movie that was badly reviewed
The Rolling Stones are so much better than the Beatles its not even funny. I guess people fight about the Beatles and the Beach Boys because there's no disputing the kings.
>>216477352The Beatles' film Help! (1965) was a major box office success, grossing around $12.1 million in its initial run (equivalent to much more today). While precise, inflation-adjusted figures vary, it was highly profitable, becoming one of the top films of its era, demonstrating huge demand for Beatlemania
>>216477455Santana is so much better than The Rolling Stones it's not even funny
>>216477352They were manufactured slop. People wised up to them, until a new group of hipsters are born and think it's cool to be lame
>>216477572nah, it's the opposite of the Sex Pistols or Andrew W.K. or similar. Brian Epstein found a talented band. they were discovered, not made.
>>216477455The Beach Boys and The Beatles are better than the Rolling Stones
>>216477572What's the point of making this up?
>>216477371AHDN is unironically one of my favorite films
>I bet you wish we lost
>>216477352
>>216477352a hard days night is legitimately a great movie and the only one they actually cared about making by their own admission
What the FUCK was his problem?
>>216478914too clean
>>216478914Context?
>The Beatles are an overrated shit band
>>216479954Agreed. So was pet sounds. Yeah I said it.
>>216479800A real mixer. Cost ya a fortune in breach of promise cases.
>>216479954stunning and brave
>>216479954you are preaching to the choir
>>216477352A hard Day's Night and Help were both in the top 5 highest grossing movies of 1964 and 65 respectively.
>>216479954hating the beatles has been babys first contrarian opinion for 60 years yet these retards always act like they were the first to do it kek
>>216480955he didn't say he hated them. he said they were overrated. and they are.
>>216477352Commies
>>216477428That's kinda odd, because Magical Mystery Tour is one of their better albums imo.
The Beatles are one of the few bands that are perfectly rated. Their music was great, fucking fantastic even, and the stuff that you could consider "crap" (oh bla di) or "overproduced" (long and winding road) are still good and great songs respectively on albums that were massively influential. The only reason anyone thinks they're "overrated" is because every other band after took inspiration from them in some way. Seeing people, both on the left and right, seethe about John Lennon makes me laugh really hard.
Imagine if they actually got Stanley Kubrick to do a take on The Lord of the Rings with Paul playing 'Frodo'.
>>216479954You want a real hot take? The Beatles are underrated. I'm serious.
>>216481257not him but i agree. their influence was nearly unfathomable, paul maccartney's melodies alone were a divine gift to humanity
>>216481057the album is good but the movie was messy, they produced it themselves and it's more experimental and haphazard than any of the others. they were high as fuck, used to producing albums by the seat of their pants, and thought they could do the same with a movie.
The Beatles are fantastic and here's why [paragraph I read somewhere by someone who's socially agreed to be knowledgeable]Beatfags are delusional.
>>216481271Yep. They're pretty much the greatest band to ever do it. They were firing off on a level above anybody else. And sure, everybody knows the Beatles, everybody has a couple of tracks they love. But how many people do you know who have really dived into their catalog and understand just how good it really is? Hence, they're underrated. They're widely regarded on the surface level as a pop culture phenomenon, but not appreciated enough on a deeper musical level.
I wish All the best for all involved in the upcoming tetralogy ( or quadrilogy if you prefer) .Man that's going to be a complicated labor .PS Anna Sawai is too pretty to play Yoko Ono

>>216481386>They were firing off on a level above anybody elsewhat lol they were totally inconsistentthe entirety of funk, the entirety of rock n roll before themvelvet undergroundrolling stonesbeach boyssynth shit (actually new and revolutionary)nothing the beatles did was revolutionary or boundary pushing or even repeated, even though mccartney is a great song writer their impact on pop or rock is marginal honestly. they were a boy band. but like everything with gay ass hippies we have to believe the boomer lore.
>>216481563>nothing the beatles did was revolutionagross, profoundly retarded take born of weirdly petty jealousy that almost seems personal, i see all too often and i'll never know why people are such a way
>>216481761Name something
>>216477352The beatles were a british government MI6 psyop, they were never that popular, the record numbers were all fabricated
>>216477455Outside their most popular songs I don't really like Stones. Their music sounds niggerish. I'm guessing it's because all this blues.
>>216481774ADT, retard, and that's just one of so many things the pioneered/popularized/invented/conceptualized/did first, and i'm not going to do your research for you. people like you just make bullshit claims and it betrays your weird dishonest nature, what a slimy rancid scumbag i am so tired of it all
>>216481563You sound like such a pleb. First of all, The Beatles are good. Secondly, your list is terrible. Where are The Mothers of Invention? Where are The Animals?>>216477455And The Who easily washes all of them.
>>216481829She literally said "synth shit" instead of naming any synth shit. That's how authentic her hot take is.
>>216481939this is my favorite thing you're hung up on because the beatles used the mellotron in 1966 for their strawberry fields demo almost 2 years before the monkees used the moog (which the beatles made popular anyway)
>>216482099what a pedant, but take the W all the same
>>216482148>>216482022What did I miss?
>>216477352Why does Paul look like he nutted in the cereal boxes and is waiting for me to discover this fact
>>216477352Help is hilarious and if so many people didn't immediately disregard it for being a Beatles album movie it would be considered one of the best comedies of all time
>>216482099retard
>>216478799Ringo poor guy
>>216477352Because they weren't actually popular. They were a collective delusion created to fight against the amerinegro and lower classes that were gaining power and saying things the ruling elite didn't like.
>>216481331It's way too strange to broadcast on tv in 1967. I think it was shown on Christmas and all the normies hated it. It's not very good unless you like strangeness for the sake of it
>Why does [complete fabrication]?>Get a swath of serious answersEvery time
