Is it possible to recreate the feeling you had as a kid when you were watching something that you felt you weren't supposed to watch? People have suggested gross out, but that just makes me feel disgusted. It isn't exactly the same thing.Watching 'I Saw the TV Glow', I really did like the energy the 'Pink Opaque' had. I wish there was something like it in real life.

i didn't like I Saw the TV Glow, just felt like airy nonsense. but i did always wish i got into Buffy, it is cool and i regret being too cynical as a teenager for any sort of "fandom" (hell, even some furry shit, they're having fun).the best i can think of is to take LSD and go into something with the idea that it's fresh and/or forbidden.
my parents didnt supervise my viewing we owned the shining on vhs and i watched it sometimes twice a month, i dont know the feeling you're mentioning
>>216477469>tranny shitThat stuff is there for sure, but I feel like the movie really works well in spite of it. I think it speaks to a certain late 90s/early 00s style of childhood, the pros and drawbacks of it, and wasting your life.
>>216477604To me, it captures that feeling that there was supposed to be more to life that has been slowly sucked out of reality to the extent where tv shows feel more emblematic of how things are supposed to be. It just feels like something is very wrong with existence at the moment.

>>216477979I would 100% believe that.
>>216477433laineyball?
How can someone who didn't waste their life so perfectly capture the feel of wasting your life?

>>216477433The Pink Opaque seemed like it was mostly based on So Weird and Secret World of Alex Mack.Plus, some pretty direct references to Pete and Pete.
