I'm so sick of content being spread out and lock behind so many streaming services. I miss when you could just turn on TV and channel surf and watch everything under one system
Nowadays it's more than ten minutes of ads for every twenty minutes of retarded goyslop fillerslop content.
>>216478786>>216478901We used to be a proper country
>>216478786>there's 3 different batmansI'm suffering
>>216478786that system was funded by ads and you block ads so you have to pay now. likewise movies for men were funded by tickets, but men all pirate movies (women are more nervous/less technical) so movies are all for women who still pay. you're reaping what you sowed
>>216478786Same. I miss how TV shows airing were a huge cultural phenomenon, they also were a weekly ritual like Saturday morning cartoons and Sunday evening Disney special, and sitcoms and other prime time shows on Fridays.>>216478901There's also tons more censorship on youtube than there ever was on TV.
>>216478786Just join to sail the seven seas mate.
>>216478965Bullshit. No one was blocking ads on cable and millions were paying for premium channels before streaming fucked it all up. The biggest buyers of PPV were men and the content, even non-sports content, was all for men.It wasn't enough for industry assholes to not have a piece of the streaming pie. They had to sell all the rights to new platforms to try an compete. But they forgot that hired a bunch of women/nons who implemented a no-fun-for-men policy and undermined entire franchise which were previous guaranteed money makers. Greed sold out an establish 60yr industry golden goose for the 'next big thing' and Envy slit it's throat to spite normal people who loved it.
>>216478786It baffles me that seemingly everyone is annoyed with streaming, yet its still incredibly rare to know someone who pirates everything, despite it being super easy. You can just stream torrents these days.I keep trying to get my friends to just stream torrents and use free sites but they just don't wanna. You people who complain about streaming but make no effort to find an alternative deserve your misery.
>>216478786Same, I was watching a couple shows but they were only 8 eps each so now I have nothing to watch again.
>>216479360My family used to pirate everything back in the day. For some reason now my dad and siblings always talk about how they signed up to another streaming service, how they can't find what service a movie is on, etc.I don't know what changed.
>>216479360Many do pirate. I myself pirate now. My friend runs a massive server that we all share into. It's just fucking sucks though. I miss just turning on the TV, flipping around, seeing shit have forgotten about suddenly on or finding a new thing because it was randomly on while I'm cooking dinner. It's just so stale now. You have to know what you want and it's tedious to sit there and go hmmm what do I want to watch. It was nice just sitting there flipping over to sports when commercials hit then go back in a few minutes. There's was a magic to it. It was nice.
>>216479750the seed oils have taken effect
>>216478901I remember talking often and at lengths about Spongebob, Two and a half men, South Park, Star Trek TNG, Scrubs, Family Guy and so on to my friends as a kid, mostly about episodes that were considered average back then, but would be "10/10 ultra classic peak" today. Today you'd have to be ashamed to even mention you watch TV for anything else than news and sports. I haven't heard anyone even mention entertainment TV in the last five years.
>>216479750Yeah. We were the first family to have direct TV on our block. My dad got tired of locked channels and some how got a hold of a device that unlocked every fucking channel. Every now and then it would fry and he would magically fix it or get another one. It was so much fun. Now they just pay for like four services
>>216478786There's nothing good on them anyway. All the shows they produce are 40 minutes of plot stretched out over three seasons of eight hour-long episodes each
>>216479789Ill agree on that. Flipping through channels was nice. However, most of it was crap. Remember 500 channels and nothing is on? So iust randomizing it all might not make it any better.
>>216478786IPTV might be worth looking into if you want everything under one roof.
>>216478786Netflix is buying everything which means soon you will only need one streaming service.
>>216479789late night channel surfing was a thing that just can't be replicated anymorethere was weird shit on
>>216478786Use Onstream. Everything on one service, and it's free. No need to turn on the computer and find torrents.
