It'll be out when it's out.
In the meantime, enjoy this list of heavily-curated adventure kinos:

This is the only film I trust to put on when the grandkids come over.

The movie MASSIVELY bombed in America. Hence, no one was rushing to make more. That said, I love the movie and wish they made 20 of them.

I wish Spielberg made more animated films, he obviously likes the medium and has a knack for bombastic action. Stop with the fucking biopics

The beauty of the Tintin movie is how comfy it is. The kind of movie to watch on a rainy night curled up in a lazy boy chair with a cup of hot chocolate.

I fucking love this movie
Adventure and mystery, I can't get enough

Why are the jews so against adventure kino being made? Will it inspire the goy to rise up and have whimsy again?

The 90s cartoon is better. Especially if you're watching it in french.
Only trouble is the blurays are cropped, and there's no subtitles, only dubtitles...
>>
>>216479234
It was great except for the retarded crane fight sequence, which just happened to be the ending, so ruined, iow.
>>
>>216478821
Problem is, it didn't do well enough with the non-fans and it got lukewarm reception from the fans (i.e. Europe). Also doesn't help that Spielberg blew his wad by adapting the two best books in the whole series

I think the BFG bombing killed his motivation

Racist piece of shit. Boring comics too.

In Herges' defense he was Belgish. The later depictions of Chinese and Asiatics (in particular Tibetans) were very sympathetic and humanising.

I don't think anyone grows up reading them anymore, I mean massively in the last 30 years.
The audience is much smaller than people think and will just be older people that can't let their childhood go.

grew up with tintin comics, and they encapsulate this call to adventure sort of feeling that haunts the wistful hearts of those steeped in the familiar throes of longing. they ran from the late 1920s until the mid 1970s, so maybe some things aren't quite as palatable to modern audiences. i still think it's cool that the creator was threatened by nazis to stop drawing tintin fighting germans, but he did it anyway. and they liked his comics so much they let it slide

That is not what happened. He was still working for his newspaper when nazis took over, which actually had him on a hitlist for many years even after the Occupation ended. I think the comic you are referring to was before the nazis took over and it wasn't because belgians or the belgian state was inherently anti-fascist, it was because, just like the first world war, the second was a clash of european imperialisms.

>>216482774
Hergé hung out with King Leopold. The king who was officially shunned by belgian parliament from engaging public funds in the colonisation of Congo so he did it privately and then the belgiqn government could pretend they washed thwir hands clean while cutting the hands of the congolese
