As long as you arent some turbo autist who cares about Simpsons "continuity," its great. If you are autistic, it is very odd. Obviously I can believe Homer and Barney were in a group together. I can also believe Wiggum was expelled, since hes never particularly chumny with the other members. Apu and Homer are also on friendly terms, which could be a result of their time in the group (though it makes Apu's habit of calling him "Mr Homer/Simpson" seem odd).But it really makes you go back and recontextualize all Homer (and Bart's) interactions with Skinner. Like, were they band mates in a purely professional capacity? Once the Be Sharpes were no longer hot, did they sever ties completely and become distant? Does Skinner just take his job so seriously he can completely cut off that part of his life from how he deals with the family in a professional capacity?Yeah, good thing I'm not autistic, haha.
