yeah they killed doakes way, way too early, even though everything leading up to his death was kino. I feel the same way about Lundy too, would have been nice to see him pop up a couple more seasons

If he'd survived longer it would've made him a worse character because you either have to invent bullshit reasons for him to not find Dexter out (which makes him retarded) or invent bullshit reasons for him to not capture Dexter (which makes him incompetent).He had to die when he did. The issue is they found no way to carry on from that afterwards.
