>it's another Truman Burbank looks at pictures of himself on the computer in supposedly the best years of his life and can't get over how no one told him that he was wearing chud glasses, had a terrible haircut and awful choice in clothes and resorts to spending the day drinking episode
why would the producers find it entertaining to encourage Truman to be a dork, didn't they know this would happen, it's not like they can write Truman back into university, this is a terrible season. He keeps going to coffee shops, HMVs and libraries but nothing ever happens.

the university seasons were far the easiest way for the screenwriters to create good times for Truman, now something merely-good happening to him would break the kayfabe like Marlon bringing over a hot prospective girlfriend to his house, whenever Truman wants to make the good times happen, the cast just doesn't co-operate.

the deleted scenes in this movie are some of the worst deleted scenes of all time, this film could have so easily been a crappy 'muh capitalism' film or a disposable 'TV' addiction commentary.
>>
>It's a rare "Truman goes drinking with work colleagues" episode
>it still ends with him going home in a taxi alone, with no real memory of how he split from his colleagues, leading him to panic about whether he did anything painfully embarrassing
can't the writers think of another way for these episodes to end? They don't happen often, there could be a bit of variety here. I never enjoy Truman's anxiety in the lead up to returning to work.

Truman never learned how to make new friends in his formative years, so he has no idea how to act in social situations. So then every time he tries, he gets self-conscious, which leads to him screwing up and losing more confidence, and then yadda yada you get the idea
it was a poor choice by the studio not to have anyone keep in touch with him. Feels like they wrote themselves into a corner where all the guy does is drink alone and wonder what it feels like to have someone to talk about their day with

even if people with friends and partners do things alone, by the fact that they have friends/partners it means they also have the social skills and confidence to strike up new conversations with people they happen to meet. If you're a friendless loner, you likely have none of that, and the thought of randomly approaching another person to have an out of the blue chat will be completely alien to you, and that lack of experience will in turn make whatever words you managed to stumble out sound weird and off-putting

Getting a fast food job when youre 16 and working it til youre 21 is how you develop social skills. I was fucked before that but the work experience forced me to grow and ultimately led to all my social milestones
>>
>just as Truman was getting his act together his hair starts falling out
This show is becoming too dark for me, it's like the producers hate the MC.
>>

Therapists love to suggest walking and buying coffee because it is an easy way of sidestepping the truth, that anything worth anything is illegal.
Without heaps and heaps of cash, you can't escape, and it feels on purpose. First it was banning any drugs that a loner could take to feel normal or mistake themselves. Now, they're even making the internet illegal because it provides people with an escape.

You will rarely if ever hear that question. People will ask you about your last relationship though, here you just say "it's been a while h-haha" and that's it, 99% of the most people stop there as well.
