He was a faggot bottom for foreigners (this is canon and well known) who wanted to wear a crown. He was also a proto-communist who wanted to redistribute wealth and import foreign senators to rule over true Romans. He was a bad friend and I'm glad he's dead.
>>
PIZZA PIZZA
>>
That's the idea. All the motivations are unclear. Was Caesar just a normal senator that played political blackjack too close to the sun? Was Brutus motivated by mommy issues?
>>
>>216487002
yeah, but most of the senators were rich boys without field experience so they cut cesar a hundred times and brutus had to show up to give an actual deadly hit.
>>

What is happening in this image? Is it gay?
>>
It was because he was a based chad. The assembly NEVER likes it when a popular, powerful leader rules above them. Same thing happens in the US, the moment FDR died they rushed to pass term limits on the POTUS, but not on themselves. Evil kikes and cretins. The assembly is the most rotten and corrupt part of the republic. The bureaucracy is a necessary evil for handling day to day work, other than that give me a President, governors, and that's it.

Modern "leftism" is a church that is solely concerned with the worship of everything nonwhite and nonmasculine. You know this is true because they will have cordial debates about any other policy but the moment you suggest white nations for white people they go into a frothing rage. And would elect the Koch brothers over Trump despite the latter having a genuinely populist socioeconomic message for the citizens.
>>
>>216486770
Caesar was a populist, in fact he was one of the most successful populists ever. He wanted to make life better for the average Roman, but the (((Senate))) were the old elites and only cared about money. It's true that Caesar flirted with kingship, but they really killed him because he threatened their wealth.
>>
>>216487527
They do seem to put the worship of the negro above things like functioning infrastructure and robust union laws that's for sure

Precisely. Given two candidates:

Candidate A
>nationalized healthcare and education
>bigger public works projects and bureaucracy
>higher taxes on billionaires
>UBI
>said nigger once and wants to deport brown people

Candidate B
>slash taxes and regulations
>slash government spending down to nothing
>privatize education
>kneeled for George Floyd and wants open borders

they're picking B.

He was a cukhold of rome
>>

His record is mixed. I'm right leaning so I don't like a lot of his policy but I understand him to be a great man of our history that led us through a depression and world war and saw us become the world's superpower thereafter. Kind of a check the scoreboard thing. He was also unabashedly pro-American and pro citizen worker. He was leery of kikes and nogs and a lot closer to modern Trumpism than you would think. America loved and kept electing him and that's why Congress feared him.

LBJ on the other hand IS the cancer that we think FDR was.
>>
>>216488000
>FDR literally destroyed America with the New Deal

>>
>>216488047
FDR's biggest problem, in my view, is that he was always too sympathetic to the Soviets. Sure, WW2 ended with America on top, but it also ended with the USSR controlling half of Europe. His administration was also teeming with Soviet spies, and part of the reason they got nukes so quickly was the large contingent of fifth columnists in America's elite, many of whom ran in FDR's circle. Don't forget that Henry Wallace, FDR's vice president during much of the war, was just shy of being a full-on commie and it was only due to outside political pressure which forced him to run with Truman in 44.

>>
>>216488417

>>
>>216488233

Probably. He was definitely sympathetic to socialism which made him compromised in that regard. But he didn't declare war on Germany, Germany did it to us. His focus was on Japan and curbing their ascent in the Pacific, which threatened all of our interests there. I actually give him props for that as actively going against them was in our geostrategic interest. It's an unfortunate reality that our victory in Europe depended on the Soviets beating them back and containing them. The invasions in France and Italy become FAR more difficult if the USSR hadn't already taken care of 90% of Axis manpower. After that the deal with the devil is done.

Pompey like a boomer couldn't let go of his own power and caesar's political enemies stokked the feud between the two in a manner that made Cesar keep running for office to keep his executive immunity.

He had broken no laws, the senate backed him into a corner over vindictive political prosecutions that were meant to weaken him which ironically forced him to fight

Gaul was Rome's ancient enemy, and they were the only ones outside of the Carthaginians who came closest to destroying Rome itself. Everyone, every single person in Rome, wanted Gaul subjugated, but the greedy Senators cared more about their wealth and slaves than the Rome itself.

The mistake Rome made is it should have a prologue with Sulla purging all of his political opponents. That's the context. Everyone was worried Caesar would be the next Sulla and kill them, and Caesar was trying to do everything to avoid another Sulla by taking power for himself.
>>
>>216491071
No, patricians hated Caesar because he was trying to cut patrician privileges and make a bunch of needed reforms. They'd have been happy with another Sulla because he increased their rights and stomped out any dissent. Keep in mind that Pompey was basically a Sulla in the making and every accusation they threw at Caesar, Pompey had done tenfold. But they didn't care because Pompey had no intention of cutting their privileges.
>>
>>216487380
>Bonapartism is a political ideology originating from Napoleon Bonaparte, characterized by a strong, centralized state, national unity, and a charismatic leader often supported by popular vote (universal suffrage), but in practice, it often means authoritarian "strong-man" rule that claims to be above class politics ("neither left nor right") to stabilize society, often preserving the bourgeoisie's economic power while curtailing their political freedoms, as seen in Napoleon I, Louis-Napoleon (Napoleon III), and later interpreted by Marxists in regimes like Bismarck's Germany or even fascist Italy.

>>
>>216488233
Bailing out the SU with lend lease was such an insane decision making. When the opportunity presented itself to simply leave hands off, let Hitler kill Stalin and meanwhile US/UK build up additional muscle. To finish off the ovrstretched and bled out germans

SU gleefully started the war together with the germans and was massing attack formations looking for opportunities to backstab the germans when they were distracted. Until 1941 that is. Yet somehow these facts were completely memoryholed and ignored. Only churchill kind if figured the SU was just as atrocious as germany was

This is complete made up bullshit, and it's sad that some shitty ripoff show with rock music in historical times is the main way people are aware of this political shitflinging.
Also he never wanted a crown of Rome; he could be pompous and he was proud of his families' heritage as the kings of Alba Longa, but he knew the problems of autocratic rulership of Rome and did not want it; he grew up knowing Gaius Marius and Lucius Cornelius Sulla, for fucks' sake! Also that scene is extra bullshit because doesn't it imply Crassus or one of Crassus' sons as raping him (something he would've been killed over back then)? Which is stupid because they were bros.
>>216487100
This. He had popularity with the common folk, ideas of a "New Man", but all of that WITH consumate patrician family blood and brains. Senators hated that and it was a legitimate threat to their power base.

don't get me wrong napoleon had his flaws and dictatorships are usually fucking retarded but bonapartism on principle is an excellent ideal way of running a state. It's also the ideal and natural end point of liberal democracy, which the last hundred or so years of western politics has either tried to avoid, delay, or pervert into the bad ending (bonapartism, but with retards in charge which is what the US is currently doing)

technically being a king or emperor is a type of aristocracy but one where a person or family hogs the power at the cost of all other nobles

Don't care about leftist lingo but "Bonapartism/Gustavianism/Trumpism/whatever new guy the establishment wants to blameism" is a system that only truly works as long as it is NOT an ideology. An understanding that the central authority of the state will run the country in a stable way as a means of self-preservation is a very basic government principle and does not need to be an "ideology", least of all to be backfed into the population and media through social engineering and a cult of personality. Otherwise, political watchdogs worm their way into the structure of your government and sooner or later shit it up from the inside.
