I was disappointed with Discovery but this is looking way flapping better than expected. Might even pick up Paramount+ to watch this on.
Is Trek back?

Cool! I'm so excited! Live long and prosper bros.
>>
>this is looking way flapping better than expected.
at this point its better to just burn the money instead of paying morons like OP.
>>
Now that’s a Star Trek!
>>
>>216487362
All star trek sucks. The older series is very dated with overplaying actors and bad writing done by leftist cucks, the later ones are just retarded and the post 2005 are woke garbage
>>
>>216487362
>quippy lines
>cute robots
>high octane space battle action

FUCK YEAH that's the Trek we want!
>>
The Athena looks gorgeous. The hull being a lattice of windows (possibly holographic?) is really cool. All the performances were great. Holly Hunter is commanding, Paul Giamatti is having the time of his life and it was so much fun seeing the Doctor again. I like the implication from the science officers line about the anomaly or whatever it is being a great opportunity for the cadets to do some learning, that the Athena's mission is to give the kids practical real world experience. I also like that the Cadets are in real jeopardy.

No! It looks like Disco and Kurtzman's other filth, which any warm blooded Trekkie knows is NOT regular Star Trek! My angry hate filled YouTube rant is going to go into full detail about all the flaws with this scene and how they spell doom for the franchise. As a preview of what to expect, "origami chicken" is quite possibly the stupidest thing I have ever heard.
;)
Nah, but seriously, good clip, I enjoyed it. And yes, I actually like "origami chicken."

Certainly more promising and 'classic Trek' than the other shows.
The programmable matter weaponry is a cool idea, and something I think Discovery should have done more with when it jumped to the 32C, rather than just sticking to Phasers and Torpedoes.
Robert Picardo delights as ever, but I was always going to give this show a chance for him alone.
>>
yay, some middle age woman main character

gonna just not even bother with this one, just like i didn't with star trek voyager or battlestar galactica

Is this ironic, or sarcastic or AI, or what the fuck...

Paramount is doing a damage control because Asmongold's clip dunking on NuTrek is doing better than their clip. All the zoomers are now galvanized against Kurtzman's Slop Trek.

Oh look, 60 year old IP that won't go away.

You never watched TOS have you?

Why do fat women always get this pursed upper lip look, like their teethare trying to escape their mouth?
>>
>>216487362
its kind of amazing how bad you marketing scumbags are at your job.
>>
>>216487362
So glad Babylon 5 never got dragged through the mud like Star Trek. I feel bad for trek fans but they grew up and made this shit so can't feel that bad. They learned all the wrong lessons from next generation.
>>
>*attacked at Stern* *SHIELDS TO FOWARD*
>"Tachyons at Port* (They are at Starboard)
>"Zero casualties, lots of injuries" (doctor carrying a casualty on screen) Trek writers don't know the difference between casualty and fatalities.
>Lardasses on the bridge
There is so much more.
So much wrong with this clip it's actually astonishing.
>>
Sorry but actually looks so good! I know I people will hate on it regardless, built honestly that was pretty epic! Doctor is back!!
>>
I've been wanting a Star Trek Academy show for literally decades so I'm in and this clip makes me a lot more optimistic than some of the other promo materials. Fingers crossed, I really want to love it.

These posters can't be real. This is a gag. Shills aren't this bad.
