It's honestly pretty interesting how we had a WW1 film ask audiences "Are our war heroes insane delusional butcher?" long before the deluge of Vietnam War flicks.

This movie didn't ask audiences anything. It clearly stated War Heroes are based AF and Arabs will always be a little people. Petty, barbarous and cruel.

lawrence was a complicated figure but he was not insane. for most of the movie he was extremely motivated and confident. it was only during the "no prisoners" attack on the turks that one could argue he let his emotions get the better of him
