Guess I'm kinda late to the party but what did you guys think about picrel?
I'm amazed how people watched the trailer and then watched the movie and then proceeded to complain how "nothing is happening" or how "it's boring" or how it's "unrealistic" or something.
Without reading the book (I promise I will since it didn't know it was an adaptation) it's clear that it's a metaphor for life as in it's a road and some people make it while most don't and get left behind and that the only thing taken for certain ultimately is death.

Peter (the black dude who bonded with Raymond) spilled it out during the last sequences of the movie: you just go from one moment to another, and you have been walking for your entire life, so it's up to you to decide what those moments will be.
The guy who believed in God and helped others had a somewhat chill death while Barkovitch (the dude that pissed some fag and essentially killed him) had a miserable experience and everyone remembered him as some crazy piece of shit that deserved to die.

Said that I appreciated the message (or at least that's how I interpeted it) but I didn't like the movie itself, it just wasn't a pleasurable watch for me but maybe that was intended, you aren't supposed to sympathize with what is going on.

I tried watching but couldn't stomach Mark Hamill, that treacherous worm needs to curl up and die already
>>
Sould've been 3mph and end at around 100-150 mile marker.
Only 10 seconds rest/slowing down every hour is just too brutal.
But still a great movie.

>it's clear that it's a metaphor for life as in it's a road
why do you faggots always try to look into metaphors?
what the fuck is wrong with your head?
have you read any king before?

I literally said that's how I interpreted what I watched
do you realize that different people parse information in different ways? if you think or if the author said that there's no deep meaning (it's not even that deep, it's essentially what the author said through the mouths of the characters so ultimatley it's the most basic thing one could get from watching it by paying any attention whatsoever to the events) doesn't mean that everyone is supposed to think about it this way
>have you read any king before?
I really didn't but now I want to and I will start with this one
>>
boring and repetitive
if they had stopped every night to sleep it would have added some much needed variety to the bonding > drama > someone dies loop the movie suffers from

read skeleton crew
bunch of short stories so you can gleam a bunch of metaphors
eventually read the langoliers
don't jump into the shinnin or IT or anything like that
