Mori was fking amazing. Ruthless slimeball but a kindly dad. Only the daughter having a bad leg marrying WALLED Mifune is lol. I think pacing in a later scene in some rubles where Mifune took a bit long to hit the dramatic notes before an outburst was iffy. Clinical approach to high-power corruption without actors reduced to puppets or tropes rarely come together outside of AK, Kubrick, Costa-Gavras.
